Notability of Cecilia rice
[edit]A tag has been placed on Cecilia rice requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article, which appears to be about a real person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable. If this is the first page that you have created, then you should read the guide to writing your first article.
If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.
For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Yourname (talk) 02:58, 9 April 2009 (UTC)
Speedy deletion of Cecilia rice
[edit]A tag has been placed on Cecilia rice requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. [edit]You should wait for others to write an article about subjects in which you are personally involved. This applies to articles about you, your achievements, your band, your business, your publications, your website, your relatives, and any other possible conflict of interest.
Creating an article about yourself is strongly discouraged. If you create such an article, it might be listed on articles for deletion. Deletion is not certain, but many feel strongly that you should not start articles about yourself. This is because independent creation encourages independent validation of both significance and verifiability. All edits to articles must conform to Wikipedia:No original research, Wikipedia:Neutral point of view, and Wikipedia:Verifiability.
If you are not "notable" under Wikipedia guidelines, creating an article about yourself may violate the policy that Wikipedia is not a personal webspace provider and would thus qualify for speedy deletion. If your achievements, etc., are verifiable and genuinely notable, and thus suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia, someone else will probably create an article about you sooner or later. (See Wikipedia:Wikipedians with articles.) Thank you. Morbidthoughts (talk) 04:31, 9 April 2009 (UTC)
Please do not remove speedy deletion notices from pages you have created yourself, as you did with Cecilia rice. Please use the {{hangon}} template on the page instead if you disagree with the deletion, and make your case on the page's talk page. Thank you. Morbidthoughts (talk) 04:53, 9 April 2009 (UTC)
Please do not remove content from pages without explanation, as you did with this edit to Cecilia rice. If you continue to do so, you may be blocked from editing. Leuqarte (talk) 04:55, 9 April 2009 (UTC)
This is your last warning. You will be blocked from editing the next time you vandalize a page, as you did with this edit to Cecilia rice. Leuqarte (talk) 05:00, 9 April 2009 (UTC)
- You need to add a {{hangon}} tag, you cannot simply delete the deletion nomination. --Leuqarte (talk) 05:03, 9 April 2009 (UTC)
- You cannot simply delete the deletion nomination. There needs to be a consensus regarding the notability of the subject. I want to go on good faith here. --Leuqarte (talk) 05:08, 9 April 2009 (UTC)
- You still can't delete a nomination for deletion tag. See above. --Leuqarte (talk) 05:29, 9 April 2009 (UTC)

Blocked
[edit]You appear to be using Wikipedia as a way to gain attention for yourself or someone you know, and/or to advertise her cause. This is beyond the purpose of Wikipedia, which is to collect knowledge on topics that have appeared in reliable sources (You may wish to read Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not). The proposed deletion of your article was never meant to be a slight to Celia or her cause. But since you don't seem to be here to do anything else, and as your actions indicate you are not willing to discuss or even consider issues you have been warned about, you have been blocked indefinitely. You may appeal this block by adding {{Unblock|Your reason here}}
