Heraldic translation: help needed

[edit]

Good evening,

It is my turn to ask you if you can translate a blazon. I drew the coat of arms of Coubron but I don't know how to describe in English the hunting horn on which some elements are of an other colour: the little pipe in which you blow, the lace and the metal ring at the end of the horn. Can you help me, please? Bruno Vallette 19:00, 3 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hmm, changed my mind a few times here. My feeling would be, Or three hunting horns sable garnished and stringed azure, on a chief gules three roses argent
It's not really my idea of garnished but I think it meets the bare definition, tipped and stringed wouldn't cover quite enough. Alci12 15:55, 4 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks a lot. Without any better idea, I added garnished and stringed to my blazon. Regards, Bruno Vallette 22:40, 4 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
