Notability of Blues Bureau International
[edit]A tag has been placed on Blues Bureau International, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article appears to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.
For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. WebHamster 17:59, 17 August 2007 (UTC)

Actually, I need to do a merge, as there is a Newcal industries page and a NEWCAL Industries page. NEWCAL Industries is the keeper. I need to get into the documentation and learn how to do this as soon as time allows. I want to learn more about how Wikipedia worksBruce85 (talk) 03:11, 7 May 2008 (UTC)

Proposed deletion of NEWCAL Industries
[edit]The article NEWCAL Industries has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- Notability tag has been unresolved for over six years; bizarrely, it was applied by its creator on day it was created. I couldn't establish its WP:NOTABILITY.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Boleyn (talk) 13:53, 17 August 2014 (UTC)
Proposed deletion of Martinez, California beavers
[edit]The article Martinez, California beavers has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- Is this really notable? An article on the beavers in a single creek in a single city? The article says "prior to the arrival of the beavers, Martinez was best known as the longtime home of naturalist John Muir, and the birthplace of Joltin' Joe DiMaggio" . Is Martinez really better known now for beavers than Muir and Dimaggio? Let's talk WP:OTHERSTUFF; Barbary macaques in Gibraltar are perhaps a notable animal population associated with a location. Save the Trafalgar Square Pigeons is an organization associated with another possibly notable animal/location topic (that doesn't have it's own article). Are Martinez beavers anywhere near the level of Gibraltar apes or Trafalgar pigeons?

[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia. We appreciate your contributions, but in one of your recent edits to Yacht rock, it appears that you have added original research, which is against Wikipedia's policies. Original research refers to material—such as facts, allegations, ideas, and personal experiences—for which no reliable, published sources exist; it also encompasses combining published sources in a way to imply something that none of them explicitly say. Please be prepared to cite a reliable source for all of your contributions. You can have a look at the tutorial on citing sources. Thank you. Binksternet (talk) 23:19, 13 May 2023 (UTC)
