Angela Davis entry for "Prison Industrial Complex" article
[edit]Hi Britneys1, great additions to the article "Prison Industrial Complex". After reviewing the source Are Prisons Obsolete, there were a few inconsistencies between the original source and your entry. For example, you mention George Bush's War on Drugs, but the War on Drugs began in the 1970s, and Davis' book mentions the War on Terror. I have updated the article to reflect what Davis says in her book, but this will require a re-naming of the subsection, as the entry is listed under a "War on Drugs" subtitle. Additionally, there could be more explanations given regarding how the military and prison industrial complexes are related, for example, which technologies are shared between them? How do politicians benefit from the PIC? Nonetheless a very important entry for this Wikipedia article! Bigowl02 (talk) 23:25, 1 April 2023 (UTC)
