Charles Hewett

[edit]

Re: Your email to me regarding my decline of Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Charles Hewett.

Thank you for your email. I appreciate the communication, but in general it is better to discuss such things on-wiki. However, I can understand why you chose to use email.

In light of your email, my recommendation is that unless there is something extra-ordinary about Mr. Hewett that makes him clearly notable, that the Wikipedia draft be abandoned. However, there are other places on and off of the Internet where this information can be posted. Public libraries, academic libraries, and the historical archives of the police departments in which he worked would be very interested in all available information about Mr. Hewett. Historical societies in the towns he grew up in may also want copies, as they may consider Mr. Hewitt part of their history.

Again, I want to thank you for the extensive work you put into this article. It is unfortunate that, as far as I can tell, he does not meet Wikipedia's notability threshold. If I'm wrong, and I hope I am, please create an article that will never be challenged for apparent lack of notability. davidwr/(talk)/(contribs)/(e-mail) 02:48, 3 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Brinyon. It has been over six months since you last edited your WP:AFC draft article submission, entitled "Sir Gerald Dodson, Recorder of London".

The page will shortly be deleted. If you plan on editing the page to address the issues raised when it was declined and resubmit it, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}} or {{db-g13}} code. Please note that Articles for Creation is not for indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you want to retrieve it, copy this code: {{subst:Refund/G13|Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Sir Gerald Dodson, Recorder of London}}, paste it in the edit box at this link, click "Save page", and an administrator will in most cases undelete the submission.

Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. Rankersbo (talk) 07:26, 1 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Charles Hewett?

Hello there! I see you tried once to create the above page. I was thinking about it too, but didn't have enough info. I was wondering what you wrote - perhaps we could collaborate? I'm interested in the Bodkin Adams case - and he was an important part of that. Regards, Malick78 (talk) 14:41, 1 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]
