Please bear these points in mind while editing Wikipedia:
- Respect copyrights – do not copy and paste text or images directly from other websites.
- Maintain a neutral point of view – this is one of Wikipedia's core policies.
- Take particular care while adding biographical material about a living person to any Wikipedia page and follow Wikipedia's Biography of Living Persons policy. Particularly, controversial and negative statements should be referenced with multiple reliable sources.
- No edit warring or abuse of multiple accounts.
- If you are testing, please use the Sandbox to do so.
- Do not add troublesome content to any article, such as: copyrighted text, libel, advertising or promotional messages, and text that is not related to an article's subject; doing so will result in your account or IP being blocked from editing.
- Do not use talk pages as discussion or forum pages as Wikipedia is not a forum.
The Wikipedia tutorial is a good place to start learning about Wikipedia. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my talk page. By the way, you can sign your name on Talk and discussion pages using four tildes, like this: ~~~~ (the software will replace them with your signature and the date). Again, welcome! Introduction to contentious topics
[edit]You have recently edited a page related to post-1992 politics of the United States and closely related people, a topic designated as contentious. This standard message is designed as an introduction to contentious topics and does not imply that there are any issues with your editing.
A special set of rules applies to certain topic areas, which are referred to as contentious topics. These are specially-designated topics that tend to attract more persistent disruptive editing than the rest of the project and have been designated as contentious topics by the Arbitration Committee. When editing a contentious topic, Wikipedia’s norms and policies are more strictly enforced, and Wikipedia administrators have special powers in order to reduce disruption to the project.
Within contentious topics, editors should edit carefully and constructively, refrain from disrupting the encyclopedia, and:
- adhere to the purposes of Wikipedia;
- comply with all applicable policies and guidelines;
- follow editorial and behavioural best practice;
- comply with any page restrictions in force within the area of conflict; and
- refrain from gaming the system.
Editors are advised to err on the side of caution if unsure whether making a particular edit is consistent with these expectations. If you have any questions about contentious topics procedures you may ask them at the arbitration clerks' noticeboard or you may learn more about this contentious topic here. You may also choose to note which contentious topics you know about by using the {{Ctopics/aware}} template.

[edit]Please do not add or change content, as you did at Killing of Laura Ann Carleton, without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. FMSky (talk) 19:05, 22 August 2023 (UTC)
- Thank you. The information added was directly from the individuals Twitter account. I will review the correct attribution for Twitter accounts to add this information. Bringjustthefactsplease (talk) 19:33, 22 August 2023 (UTC)
Please do not move the article again. The article's name has been discussed previously where the current name was found to have consensus. If you would like to change the article's name, then you will need to establish a new consensus by opening a move discussion on the article's talk page. Instructions on how to do so can be found at WP:RMCM. Thank you. SkyWarrior 19:30, 18 December 2023 (UTC)
- Also, don't bludgeon the process. Just repeating the same thing over and over, BLPCRIME be damned, isn't good. LilianaUwU (talk / contributions) 04:43, 19 December 2023 (UTC)
- Yes, I was unaware there was a formal process. Skywarrior deserves a thanks for pointing me in the correct direction here Bringjustthefactsplease (talk) 04:45, 19 December 2023 (UTC)
- If you knew there was a formal process at 04:45 why did you, less than an hour later (05:28), move another article outside of process? I really don't care what either of these articles are called but if you continue to move pages in a disruptive manner you will be blocked. POV vandalism at Trump fake electors plot
[edit]Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at Trump fake electors plot. Your edits appear to constitute vandalism and have been reverted. If you would like to experiment, please use your sandbox. Repeated vandalism may result in the loss of editing privileges. Thank you.
Do not remove properly sourced content. -- Valjean (talk) (PING me) 20:30, 12 January 2024 (UTC)
- My edit was correct. There was an assertion of fact made that was directly contradicted by the linked source. Removing unsupported and erroneous claims is not "vandalism". Bringjustthefactsplease (talk) 20:56, 12 January 2024 (UTC)

you seem persistently unaware or unwilling to accept:
[edit]Wikipedia articles should be based on reliable, published secondary sources, and to a lesser extent, on tertiary sources and primary sources[1]
that's how we do things here. if you cannot accept this reality, maybe you would feel more comfortable contributing somewhere else[2] soibangla (talk) 00:52, 7 July 2024 (UTC)
- I was quite literally relaying this information to another user. That is hardly worthy of a comment here. Bringjustthefactsplease (talk) 01:44, 7 July 2024 (UTC)
- you have been persistent in your view, I am simply advising that view is inconsistent with how we do stuff on Wikipedia. that's all I got here. soibangla (talk) 01:52, 7 July 2024 (UTC)
