Hello Bridgetdonoghue and welcome to Wikipedia! We appreciate encyclopedic contributions, but some of your contributions, such as the ones to Petronella Wyatt, do not conform to our policies. For more information on this, see Wikipedia's policies on vandalism and limits on acceptable additions. If you'd like to experiment with the wiki's syntax, please do so in the sandbox (but beware that the contents of the sandbox are deleted frequently) rather than in articles.

Hi, thanks for your message. I guess I was concerned with actual inaccuracies in the Petronella Wyatt page. She can't really be described as being a partner of Boris Johnson as he was already married. You also attribute the title 'Honourable' to her, which I believe is incorrect, she is untitled and is not an MP or have any other role that would give her that title. I love wikipedia and don't want to cause any trouble here! Bridgetdonoghue (talk) 20:26, 27 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Bridget, and again, welcome. I don't know the British rules for "the Honourable" and I'm not the editor who added that, but it sounds like it would be a good question for you to bring up at Talk:Petronella Wyatt. I reverted your edits because you were adding excessive and inappropriate details to the infobox. The infobox is used to convey brief factual information. Any expansion or clarification should be addressed in the body of the article. I wouldn't argue that Johnson has to be listed in the infobox as her partner, but other editors might, so that too would be something you could bring up on the article's talk page and see if there's consensus to remove it. Hope that helps! Schazjmd (talk) 20:38, 27 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for taking it to the talk page! Two quick tips: when you start a new discussion, give it a section heading (just two equal signs, a title, and another two equal signs, like == "Honourable" and partner in infobox ==). I added a heading to your comment on the article talk page for you, Second, your signature (~~~~) goes at the end of your comment, not the start. I moved your signature there for you. Hope that helps! Schazjmd (talk) 21:07, 27 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you, I'll get the hang of it eventually! Bridgetdonoghue (talk) 21:10, 27 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Hi
Having put my concerns about the validity of the wiki page on the talk page, how does it then get addressed?
Thanks Bridgetdonoghue (talk) 08:11, 2 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I was hoping editors more involved with that article would have replied. Since they didn't, I responded and also edited the article. Sometimes you don't get talk engagement until you actually make a change to an article, which catches their attention. Schazjmd (talk) 14:35, 2 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
