English variants

[edit]

Hi. I noticed that in your edit to Beryl Gilroy's biography you switched the spelling to American English. The rule on Wikipedia is that you generally shouldn't switch articles from one version of English to another, and that when the subject of an article has a strong connection to one type of English, you should use the appropriate form. Since Gilroy was Guyanese/British, you should use Guyanese or English spellings, not American. Ian (Wiki Ed) (talk) 16:39, 10 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]
