Four tildes (~~~~) produces your name and the current date. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome! — Kyoko

I saw that nobody had welcomed you, despite the fact that you have been around since February, so I figured that someone should... even though I haven't been around much longer than you. Sorry for the late welcome! --Kyoko 04:16, 23 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for the welcome! and I apologise for the late reply to that welcome.Brian junhui sim 11:17, 6 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Louis XIV coin

[edit]

Hi Brian junhui sim. I received your message on my talk page. No, I was not offended by your edit. The organization of the translation is probably an improvement. So would you agree to leave it as it is now except change the Latin inscription to italics, per the Wikipedia Manual of Style? (Note: You might check it out in its current state -- another editor created the current appearance.) Coinman62 21:19, 2 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Coinman62, yes indeed I would agree to leaving it as you have done. I think that reproduces the content very wisely.Brian junhui sim 11:17, 6 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]
Image Copyright problem
Image Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading Image:Anne&_marie.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 19:36, 17 July 2008 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. OsamaK 19:36, 17 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Burying the hatchet

[edit]

First of all, thank you for your peace offer! I rarely offer peace myself (being a too proud person), but I am always eager to accept such offers because I hate when somebody dislikes me (I know, vanity...).

Anyway, I hope you understand what I meant by repeating the "Of Austria" point. I did not accuse you of any mistake - it would be silly if I did, given how many mistakes I make. I just meant to say that, if we are to follow Britannica's example, we should follow it all the way. I know that you didn't want the article to be titled "Marie-Therese Of Austria"; my only goal was to discredit the title of Britannica's article. Do you know understand that my intention was not to harp on your mistake after having received an (unnecessary) apology? Surtsicna (talk) 20:13, 4 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

More serious than your little duel with S RE Marie-Thérèse

Bonjour Brian: After reading user 69.251.180.224's revision in article, please go to our dear queen of France's talk page to Copyright violation at Death & Court life sections & read comments I just left there. Cordialement, Frania W. (talk) 14:36, 6 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

File:Doge of genoa.jpg listed for deletion

[edit]

A file that you uploaded or altered, File:Doge of genoa.jpg, has been listed at Wikipedia:Files for deletion. Please see the discussion to see why this is (you may have to search for the title of the image to find its entry), if you are interested in it not being deleted. Thank you. Calliopejen1 (talk) 06:44, 19 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Notice

The file File:Anne& marie.jpg has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Unused. Superseded by File:Anne of Austria with Queen Marie Thérèse by André Simon Renard de Saint.jpg.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.

Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and files for discussion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. --Minorax«¦talk¦» 13:46, 8 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
