Please note that disambiguation pages like Avalon (disambiguation) are meant to help readers find a specific existing article quickly and easily. For that reason, they have guidelines that are different from articles. From the Wikipedia:Disambiguation dos and don'ts you should:
- Only list articles that readers might reasonably be looking for
- Use short sentence fragment descriptions, with no punctuation at the end
- Use exactly one navigable link ("blue link") in each entry that mentions the title being disambiguated
- Only add a "red link" if used in existing articles, and include a "blue link" to an appropriate article
- Do not pipe links (unless style requires it) – keep the full title of the article visible
- Do not insert external links or references - Wikipedia is not a business directory
- Do not add articles to acronym or initials disambiguation pages unless the person or entity is widely known by that name (in which case it should be stated in the linked article).
I couldn't find any article that listed "Avalon" as a song by Matthew Ellis (or Michael Cox).

Discussion on Matthew Ellis moved here
[edit]Hi Brentx45, I moved your comment and my answer here because I thought that it might be more useful for you to be able to find it quickly in the future. Leschnei (talk) 12:27, 30 December 2019 (UTC)
You queried the lack of an article elsewhere on the above song. I am not aware of any articles pertaining to it, but I can assure you in good faith that the song exists. It was a single on Regal Zonophone in 1971 and also a track on his eponymous debut album released that year (which I own), as a glance at Discogs and 45cat.com websites will testify. Copies do appear on eBay from time to time at not inconsiderable prices. I have reinstated my entry and hope you will be able to let it stand. Thank you for your attention. Brentx45 (talk · contribs)
- @Brentx45: I have to doubt that the song "Avalon" exists. The only problem is that it isn't mentioned in any article on Wikipedia. Disambiguation pages are like the index of a book; if the topic isn't talked about in the book, it shouldn't be listed in the index. As mentioned in bold on your talk page, each entry on a disambiguation page should contain exactly one link to an article that mentions the item - in other words, your entry on Avalon (disambiguation) should contain one link to an existing article that mentions the song "Avalon" by Michael Cox/Matthew Ellis. The easiest solution would be to add the track names to Michael Cox's article or to write an article about the album, if you have reliable sources.
- Please read through the links that I left above - they will help you learn how to edit effectively. Also, when using talk pages (for users or articles), new comments generally go at the bottom and are signed by typing four tildes (~~~~); they will be replaced with your username and a link to your talk page when you hit 'Publish changes'.
