lets all not get so hardcore over what is a promotional sentence. if it is part of the history of what happened, then its a fact, and this is my opinion. if we were to delete all promotional material, then goes the coke page, the vespa page and many many others... aren't they promotional pages in themselves? or else does someone want to tell me what the guidelines are?

I'm not sure how to break this to you, but your boss has given you an impossible assignment. Nobody owns articles on Wikipedia, and any attempts to use Wikipedia for promotional purposes is ultimately doomed to failure.

But all is not lost. It is still possible for you to contribute, and even to use Wikipedia to spread unbiased, neutral information about these devices, and maybe even about your company. To do this, you must start by familiarizing yourself with the relevant policies and guidelines. Start with the links in the welcome message I left above. Pay particular attention to wp:n, wp:v, and wp:coi. Especially that last one. Before you make any changes to the article, your first step is to disclose your conflict of interest. This is not because we don't trust you, or think you're out to trick us. It's simply because your position can make it difficult for you to be neutral. Just to clarify, we have a policy called WP:OWN; essentially, to "own" an article is to try to control the content that's in it. It's a very common behavior and sometimes difficult to avoid, even I've had to check myself now and again. It's especially difficult when you create an article and spend a lot of time working on it, and then other editors come out of nowhere and change it in ways you don't like.
