It may not have been your intention, but your recent edit to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/The Irving Literary Society was disruptive to an ongoing discussion. Please refrain from making disruptive or unconstructive edits. Thank you. —Notyourbroom (talk) 02:51, 29 April 2010 (UTC)

[edit]Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You may also click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you. —Notyourbroom (talk) 02:32, 30 April 2010 (UTC)
A bit belated
[edit]Greetings, Brb72, and welcome to Wikipedia's deletion process! Thank you for your contributions. As a newcomer, it may be helpful for you to read Wikipedia's deletion policy, and the pages describing the articles for deletion process, proposed deletion, and speedy deletion. Remember that deletion debates are not votes, and reasons matter, especially reasons relating to the central content policies of verifiability, neutral point of view, no original research, and what Wikipedia is not, and to the consensual community guidelines for biographies, corporations, music, and fiction. Also remember that deletion is not always the answer to a bad article. Feel free to drop me a line at my talk page if you have any questions. Again, welcome!—Notyourbroom (talk) 04:01, 30 April 2010 (UTC)
Conflict of interest
[edit]You say that you are the Dean of the Irving Literary Society. As such you have a conflict of interest when editing articles associated with this society, and I'd appreciate it if you would read and follow the information here: WP:COI. Thank you. Dougweller (talk) 16:40, 30 April 2010 (UTC)
