[edit]Welcome, and thank you for your attempt to lighten up Wikipedia. However, this is an encyclopedia and the articles are intended to be serious, so please don't make joke edits, as you did to Coelacanth. Readers looking for serious articles will not find them amusing. If you'd like to experiment with editing, try the sandbox, where you can write (almost) whatever you want. Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did to Beef. Your edits appear to constitute vandalism and have been reverted. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. JohnInDC (talk) 16:31, 18 August 2008 (UTC)
Sorry I have seen the rule about Original Research. But sure everyone knows a bird will eat a cuttlefish skeleton?
Re: your message
[edit]Hi, Bradley10 - Unfortunately, I don't know how big an object a tapir can pick up, but I will add it to the article if I find out. - Sasha Kopf (talk) 17:42, 18 August 2008 (UTC)

Michael Jackson
[edit]Your Michael Jackson rambling was removed from the Ref Desk not because it was in the wrong section but because it does not belong at the Ref Desk. It has been removed again; do not re-add it. — Lomn 14:19, 5 September 2008 (UTC)
- As noted before, please cease adding nonsensical questions to the Reference Desk. — Lomn 13:08, 9 September 2008 (UTC)
- "Killer clowns roaming and killing children" does not "expand the scope of Wikipedia". You know this as well as I. — Lomn 13:44, 9 September 2008 (UTC)
September 2008
[edit]You have in recent times added a number of inappropriate questions to the reference desks. We do not appreciate these, and would ask to desist. We reserve the right to seek sanctions against you, such as barring you from the site, if you do not desist. Tagishsimon (talk) 14:00, 9 September 2008 (UTC)
I think you've always had that right reserved. Bradley10 (talk) 14:31, 9 September 2008 (UTC)
- Indeed. We tend to give warning, though. Please pay heed to what people are trying to tell you. --Tagishsimon (talk) 14:36, 9 September 2008 (UTC)
Look here!
[edit]I am not trying to play silly buggers. Bradley10 (talk) 14:39, 9 September 2008 (UTC)
- And if your actions reflect this, there will be no problems. I am not, however, swayed by a talk page post to this effect. — Lomn 15:20, 9 September 2008 (UTC)
The boy who cried "Wolf!"
[edit]Your question to the ref desk about Aliens is borderline crap - but because nearly all of your other "questions" are total, utter, unadulterated crap, you're reputation is in the toilet and you're going to tend to be ignored when you do post a somewhat "real" question. I would like to STRONGLY suggest that you desist from the stupid/pointless/annoying questions in future - and perhaps we'll be able to answer any actual real questions you might have in a sensible manner. SteveBaker (talk) 16:02, 9 September 2008 (UTC)
- In the spirit of encouraging progress, I'd like to point out that Bradley10 has asked a reasonable question and is getting reasonable answers. -- Coneslayer (talk) 16:05, 9 September 2008 (UTC)
- It's not the reasonable ones that I'm complaining about! SteveBaker (talk) 02:40, 10 September 2008 (UTC)
Steve Baker, without sinking to your level of scatological expression, I'd like to firstly ask you to keep your uneasy assertions to yourself. "you're reputation is in the toilet". Well, other than moving your apostrophe, my first response would be to assert that they are not stupid, pointless or annoying. If you want to take part in this discussion, may I advise you do so at the reference desk talk page, and keep a civil tongue in your head whilst doing so. Bradley10 (talk) 16:11, 9 September 2008 (UTC)
- OK - if you prefer public humiliation to the more private kind - my carefully considered response is on the Ref desk talk page. Please read it. SteveBaker (talk) 02:40, 10 September 2008 (UTC)
Oh and you seemed to quite like my Jurassic Park question... Bradley10 (talk) 16:26, 9 September 2008 (UTC)
- That was before you lost my respect. It'll take a lot more than that to get it back. SteveBaker (talk) 02:43, 10 September 2008 (UTC)
