[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia. However, one or more of the external links you added to the page Satan do not comply with our guidelines for external links and have been removed. Wikipedia is not a collection of links; nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Since Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, external links do not alter search engine rankings. If you feel the link should be added to the article, please discuss it on the article's talk page before reinserting it. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. McGeddon (talk) 10:12, 10 January 2008 (UTC)
Please stop adding inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to Democracy in the United States. It is considered spamming and Wikipedia is not a vehicle for advertising or promotion. Since Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, additions of links to Wikipedia will not alter search engine rankings. If you continue spamming, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Particularly with regard to Democracy in the United States, please try to add wikilinks to relevant sections of articles (if any such section exists) and work them into the text, rather than dropping them straight into the lead and padding them out to make a sentence. --McGeddon (talk) 09:43, 15 January 2008 (UTC)
External links
[edit]Given that the site you repeatedly link to was written by a "Bernard P. Hagan", and your username is "Bphagan", your behaviour seems to be a clear breach of Wikipedia's conflict of interest guidelines, which I would advise you to read. These guidelines require users to avoid (or exercise great caution when) linking to their own websites. Adding self-promotional links to Wikipedia is considered to be spam, and persistent repeat linking may result in your account being banned and the URL blacklisted. --McGeddon (talk) 10:17, 16 January 2008 (UTC)
