Greetings from one Michigander to another

[edit]

Coincidentally, I have a place one mile north of Sturgeon Point Light, which I am guessing is in your neck of the woods in Northern Michigan. Welcome. 7&6=thirteen () 21:31, 1 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I wish I lived up there, although it's one of my favorite places to visit. I got a place in Mills Township, but reside in the metro detroit area. Bowtiesarecool06 (talk) 23:44, 1 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Whalebacks

[edit]

Hello. Thank you for sending me the message. I am currently busy with my own big project (I am compiling a list of all the shipwrecks in the Wisconsin portion Lake Michigan), but I'd be happy to help. I have already created articles for the whalebacks SS Henry Cort and Whaleback Barge 101 and the semi-whaleback SS Choctaw. What did you have in mind? Just a list of whalebacks, or a separate article for each whaleback? GreatLakesShips (talk) 20:12, 29 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Bowtiesarecool06! Lighthouse Magazine

[edit]

A fellow Southeastern Michigan person, hello! I'm currently trying to get Devils Island Light from Start class to at least C class. One of the sources listed is the january 1999 issue of Lighthouse Magazine, and before I spend a few bucks to have the backorder shipped to me, I thought I'd enquire to find out if you happen to have that mag, or know anyone who does? Thanks either way! Patr2016 (talk) 01:37, 5 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@Patr2016 Thanks for the inquiry! Always nice to talk to new people. I myself have not heard of the magazine, but because I am a 16 year old who is heavily interested and involved in this stuff, I have an older friend who has lots of magazines and books and such that he wants to give to me. I will contact him and see if he has what you are looking for. It will take a few weeks because he lives in Cleveland, but if he does have it I will let you know. I really appreciate that! Patr2016 (talk) 16:01, 5 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Patr2016 I called him today, he does not have any copies of Lighthouse Magazine and said it is unlikely that his other friend still has any issues. Bowtiesarecool06 (talk) 21:47, 5 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Ah well, I appreciate you checking it out! All the best. Patr2016 (talk) 21:52, 5 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
