Why is that article subject to the naming guidelines of WP:NCF? The film is a television film and really should be subject to the WP:NCTV article naming guidelines instead ... per the precedent of other similarly-named articles. In fact, if you look at WP:NCF, it has a "See also" section that references WP:NCTV for television films. Steel1943 (talk) 15:45, 4 January 2015 (UTC)

Regarding "The Loft"

Hello,

I had removed that section from the Loft because of spoilers which I stated

" 17:31, 29 January 2015‎ 76.19.61.108 (talk)‎ . . (5,538 bytes) (-1,098)‎ . . (Spoilers removed.) (undo)"

The synopsis ruins the movie for anyone intending to see it. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.19.61.108 (talk) 21:25, 29 January 2015 (UTC)

genres of films in actor article leads

Hi, we are currently discussing this issue at MOS:FILM Talk page. I have given a number of examples of Featured Articles for actors which give genres in the lead (e.g., Brad Pitt). Giving the genre for the film helps the reader understand what type of film the actor was in. I believe it is helpful for the reader.OnBeyondZebraxTALK 15:27, 30 January 2015 (UTC)

I did not realize that discussion was happening. BOVINEBOY2008 15:30, 30 January 2015 (UTC)
Why do you believe that genres are not needed in the lead? It helps the reader understand what type of films the actor is appearing in. If an actor stars in a string of four comedies, that is useful information to know. If an actor stars in a string of romantic comedies, once again, that is helpful information to have. OnBeyondZebraxTALK 15:47, 30 January 2015 (UTC)
I believe that if an actor has appeared in and has made an impact in a certain genre, then it is certainly relevant. And it is worth including if there is critical sources identifying the actor with a particular genre. Otherwise, the genre of the film is not relevant to the actor. BOVINEBOY2008 15:50, 30 January 2015 (UTC)
Regarding your comment about when an actor has made an impact in a genre, then it would be appropriate to mention the genre, Chevy Chase's article, for example, states that he did a number of comedies, and then lists the major titles. Just to give you some more examples of cases where articles for actors mention genres, you can check out Jake Gyllenhaal and Maggie Gyllenhaal, two Featured Articles I have not edited. The leads name several genres of films they appeared in. The article for Angelina Jolie is a Featured Article and it has about five genres named in the lead. Ethan Hawke is a Featured Article and the lead names nine genres of films (I added the ninth). Kirsten Dunst and Reese Witherspoon are Featured Articles and they name several genres in the lead. The article for director Sidney Lumet, which I have not edited, has several mentions of film genres in the lead.OnBeyondZebraxTALK 19:54, 30 January 2015 (UTC)

Hi. Unfortunately, the link I provided when I undid your revision is accidentally missing a letter. Here's the correct link to that poster.--EclecticEnnui (talk) 21:48, 14 June 2015 (UTC)

The Broken Circle Breakdown

Just checking why you have added "This article is supported by the American cinema task force" as this Belgian film does not meet their criteria. Regardless I can see arguements for & against but wanted to check your reasoning. Please answer here as I don't have a stable talk page. JDE188.164.224.203 (talk) 20:30, 29 June 2015 (UTC)

Love, Theft and Other Entanglements‎

Hi BB. Can you explain what you mean by incorrect sortkey? Surely the sort sans the comma is correct? Thanks. Lugnuts Dick Laurent is dead 18:09, 3 August 2015 (UTC)

I've been under the impression that punctuation is part of sorting. I may be wrong though. BOVINEBOY2008 00:19, 6 August 2015 (UTC)

Truth (film) listed at Redirects for discussion

An editor has asked for a discussion to address the redirect Truth (film). Since you had some involvement with the Truth (film) redirect, you might want to participate in the redirect discussion if you have not already done so. Lapadite (talk) 17:03, 18 September 2015 (UTC)

The subject article was PRODed by yourself - it has been restored as a contested PROD. You may wish to consider WP:AfD in the light of this result. Ronhjones  (Talk) 16:34, 11 October 2015 (UTC)

Hi there- if you're going to create a disambiguation page at this title, could you please do so and then fix any incoming links? If not, could you please move the page back to the better title? Thanks! Josh Milburn (talk) 13:03, 1 November 2015 (UTC)

I write this in this way on page 2015 in film because if you look at all previous pages (see List of years in film) such us about years in films 2014 in film 2013 in film 2012 in film e.t.c. are written in this way. Why all this pages are written in this way? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2.86.255.196 (talk) 19:27, 2 December 2015 (UTC)

Your technical move request

Regarding your request. Somebody tried to do a cut-and-paste to I Love NY (Hindi film). I've tried to fix that. The article (and its history) are now back at I Love NY (2015 film). If anyone thinks that 'Hindi film' is better, a WP:Requested move can be opened. It doesn't make sense to say it's an 'upcoming film' since it has been released. I'm unsure whether I Love NY (upcoming film) should be deleted per WP:CSD#G6. Thanks, EdJohnston (talk) 18:56, 26 December 2015 (UTC)
