Information icon Hello, I'm Serols. I wanted to let you know that I reverted one of your recent contributions—specifically this edit to Chorley Interchange—because it did not appear constructive. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you have any questions, you can ask for assistance at the Help desk. Thanks. Serols (talk) 17:46, 30 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. I noticed that your username, "Bot2213", may not meet Wikipedia's username policy because it contains the suffix "-bot", which is generally reserved for authorized bot accounts. If you believe that your username does not violate our policy, please leave a note here explaining why. As an alternative, you may file for a change of username, or you may simply create a new account and use that for editing. Thank you. Isabelle 🔔 17:47, 30 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@Isabelle Belato: (Please note I have formatted the following content from Bot2213, so it is properly visiblel Also, I have added a signature to make clear it is his content.
hey it is the name i used since i was a kid (Bot2213) 18:02, 30 August 2021‎ (UTC)[reply]
While it may be the name you have used since you were a kid, it isn't acceptable here as the word "bot" in a username, indicates that account is a bot. If you don't change it you will be soft blocked until you change your username. Blaze The Wolf | Proud Furry and Wikipedia Editor (talk) (Stupidity by me) 19:24, 30 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
where do I change it at and sorry about the edits— Preceding unsigned comment added by Bot2213 (talkcontribs) 19:59, 30 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Bot2213, there's multiple different options available: In case you have a confirmed email address, you can request the username change at Special:GlobalRenameRequest. Alternatively, you can use Wikipedia:Changing username/Simple. Make sure before requesting a new name that it's not taken yet though (you can check via Special:CentralAuth). By the moment you haven't made substantial edits with this account yet, you could also consider creating an entirely new one and abandoning this one. how long do i have until im banned — Preceding unsigned comment added by Bot2213 (talkcontribs) 15:08, 30 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I'm not exactly sure, however I would recommend changing your username as soon as possible. If you are banned, don't worry, you'll still be able to change your username and onece you do you will be unblocked. Hi Bot2213. There is no deadline, it's just recommended you request your name to be changed before you continue editing articles. Feel free to take your time choosing a new, more appropriate username. Isabelle 🔔 20:26, 30 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, I'm Fabrickator. I noticed that you have been flagging several of your edits as "minor" edits, which did not meet the criteria for minor edits. For instance, in one edit, you changed "grass" to "turf". Of course, it's not a big change, by identifying it as a minor edit, you are telling people they do not need to review it, essentially asserting that it's virtually inconceivable there could be any objection. If you want, you can search the "Wikipedia" namespace for guidance on identifying "minor edits", but it's fine not to flag any of your edits as minor, and until you have researched the appropriate use, you should avoid identifying any of your edits as "minor". Your account has been blocked from editing Wikipedia because your username, Bot2213, does not meet our username policy. Your username is the principal reason for the block, although you have also been vandalizing. You are welcome to continue editing after you have selected a new username that meets the username policy guidelines, which are summarized below.
Per the username policy, a username should represent an individual and should not: represent a group or organization; be promotional; be misleading (such as indicating possession of special user rights or being a "Bot" account (unless approved for such purposes)); be offensive or otherwise disruptive. However, a username that contains the name of a organization and also identifies you individually, such as "Sara Smith at XYZ Company", "Mark at WidgetsUSA", or "FoobarFan87" is allowed, though, among others, the guidance on conflict of interest and the policy of paid-contribution disclosure are relevant.
You are encouraged to choose a new account name that meets our username policy guidelines and create the account yourself. Alternatively, if you wish for your existing contributions to carry over under a new name, then you may request a change in username by:
  1. Adding {{unblock-un|your new username here}} below. You should be able to do this even though you are blocked. If not, you may wish to contact the blocking administrator by clicking on "Email this user" from their talk page.
  2. At an administrator's discretion, you may be unblocked for 24 hours to file a change of name request.
  3. Your requested new username cannot already be in use. Therefore, please check the list here to see if a name is taken prior to requesting a change of name.
Appeals: If, after reading the guide to appealing blocks you believe you were blocked in error, then you may appeal this block by adding {{unblock|Your reason here}} below this notice.
I also see that you have been committing vandalism. You will need to provide assurances that you will not vandalize the encyclopedia again. Cullen328 Let's discuss it 00:02, 31 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
