Hi Bostonbetty! Thanks for contributing to Wikipedia.
Be our guest at the Teahouse! The Teahouse is a friendly space where new editors can ask questions about contributing to Wikipedia and get help from peers and experienced editors. I hope to see you there! Technical 13 (I'm a Teahouse host)

Information icon Hello, I'm Bailmoney27. I wanted to let you know that I undid one or more of your recent contributions to Stephen Skinner (Canadian politician) because it did not appear constructive. If you would like to experiment, you can use the sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Welcome!

I wanted to drop you a note thanking you for your contributions to Wikipedia. Minor corrections, such as the ones you have made, are invaluable, since they fix the problems which have been missed by others and serve to improve the quality of the encyclopedia. However (and of course there has to be a however). some of the edits you have made violate the style guidelines in Wikipedia's Manual of Style. (Yes, Wikipedia has its own version of The Chicago Manual of Style.) The section on punctuation and quotes notes that, ordinarily, punctuation is added outside of quotes unless the punctuation is an intrinsic part of the original quote. Take a look at this section of the Manual of Style, which explains Wikipedia's preferred format for punctuation. I have made a couple of reversions of your edits (and restored one of your edits which was clearly an improvement, which another editor reverted), but noted with pleasure that most of your edits were constructive and grammatically sound. Thank you, and I do hope you stick around. There are many articles which can benefit from copy-editing efforts such as yours. Horologium (talk) 05:40, 30 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
