Hello, I noticed that you may have recently made edits to User talk:Locke Cole‎ while logged out. Wikipedia's policy on multiple accounts usually does not allow the use of both an account and an IP address by the same person in the same setting and doing so may result in your account being blocked from editing. Additionally, making edits while logged out reveals your IP address, which may allow others to determine your location and identity. If this was not your intention, please remember to log in when editing. Thank you. Chris Troutman (talk) 19:56, 12 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hello! Sorry! It's not intentional. The reason behind is when i'm in my account I don't have VISUAL editor for some reason and when I'm logged out I can click the VISUAL pencil.. can you help me with that?
Thank you! 91.148.176.219 (talk) 19:59, 12 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Sure. Wikipedia:VisualEditor explains this is done under the 'editing' tab in your 'preferences' menu. (VE is automatically enabled for IPs, which is why you see it logged-out.) You'll find there is quite a lot you can change under preferences, including gadgets and scripts to further customize your activity. Chris Troutman (talk) 20:07, 12 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Thnak you very much! :)
Best regards,

Hello! We all know that the chip is 4nm (N4) just like Snapdragon Gen 1+ and Gen 2. I dont understand how Snapdragon Gen 2 for example can stay as 4nm, but not A16... also N4P doesn't exist. It's N4. Can we put it for once 4nm (N4) with all citations which we have and shake hands? BorisDG (talk) 18:36, 6 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on File:A17 Pro.png requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a copyright violation of https://www.techinsights.com/blog/micron-lpddr5-16-gb-non-euvl-chip-found-apple-iphone-15-pro and has no credible claim of fair use or permission. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use it — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Final warning - do not add unsourced content to Wikipedia. All content must be sourced per WP:V. Passive-aggressive comments don't change that fact, or that it's your burden to provide sources for your additions. Sergecross73 msg me 14:59, 21 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I have no experience adding links/source. Do it. I gave you the link to the video. Update the game description. One is removing my edits/sources and doing nothing, other is removing them, but actually fixing/updating the description! BorisDG (talk) 15:01, 21 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
If you wish to contribute to Wikipedia, this is absolutely something you need to learn. See WP:REFB to learn how to do it. It's very simple. You can also ask for assistance on the articles talk page as well, or present sources for others to add for you. Sergecross73 msg me 15:32, 21 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Another editor has now done if for you. But you should still take the time how to learn this. If you keep adding content without providing a source, you'll just end up getting your account blocked from editing eventually, as this is one of the most basic requirements for editing. Sergecross73 msg me 15:42, 21 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Unity. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, --DPL bot (talk) 17:55, 24 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

namu.wiki citation

[edit]

Regarding [1], namu.wiki is not a valid citation and is basically not worth mentioning at all on Wikipedia. I don't know if your information is correct or not, but a wiki is not of any relevance here for evidence of accuracy. Looking above, this is an ongoing problem. Please read WP:VERIFY, WP:RS and WP:CITE thoroughly or we made need to look into further actions. —DIYeditor (talk) 09:47, 3 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hello! From various reports over the internet, I can verify that the information there is valid. :)
Greetings,
Boris BorisDG (talk) 09:52, 3 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry that is not going to do at all. That's not how wikipedia works as you have been previously told. You have not read the links I provided, which are mandatory for editing here. Administrator Sergecross73 has already given you a final warning. —DIYeditor (talk) 09:54, 3 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Well, I'm sorry than. Feel free to revert the changes as you wish.
-Boris BorisDG (talk) 09:57, 3 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I don't know what the correct information is and don't care to research it right now. I just noticed the problem of citing something to a wiki, and citing it in the edit summary rather than in the body of the article. Knowing the information is valid may actually be enough to insert something, but for you, with a history of this being a problem, I think it would be better if you provided an inline citation for any change like this, or discussed it on the article talk page. That's my opinion. These computer articles attract a lot of "expert" edits, often outside the rules and norms of Wikipedia, just "because it's true" or cited to really questionable sources or rumors. This is not a blog, it's not a social media site, it's not twitter. It's an encyclopedia with rules for how information needs to be verifiable. It's better to have no information that potentially unsourced information. —DIYeditor (talk) 13:01, 3 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Blocked

[edit]

For persistent additions of unsourced content, your account is blocked from editing for 1 week. When you return, you must follow WP:V. That includes providing actual sources in the article, in the method detailed at WP:REFB.

As an aside, you shouldn't be using other wikis as a source on Wikipedia, as they almost always fail WP:USERG. Sergecross73 msg me 17:59, 3 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

No worries! I'm leaving the channel. I hope you will update it regularly with good content :)
Cheers and take care,
Boris BorisDG (talk) 18:09, 3 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I'm sorry to hear that, but if you're unable or unwilling to follow basic policies like this, then I suppose this is the way it has to be. Sergecross73 msg me 18:28, 3 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I was not aware about them. Yeah, I did mistake and I'm taking the consequences. :) I just wanted to help and make the information rich, but It seems I failed. BorisDG (talk) 20:14, 3 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I'm not sure how you can say you were "not aware". I told you about this last March. The conversation is still present on this very talk page. Sergecross73 msg me 01:36, 4 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I dont't know how to use them :) For me the entire Wiki is a bit of confusing. Even when I'm editing sometimes I feel lost. BorisDG (talk) 08:45, 4 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
WP:REFB breaks it down pretty simple if you take the time to focus and read it over. Its up to you. You're only blocked for a week, not forever. You can return after the week is up and start editing correctly while using sources. But returning and continuing to make the same edits without sources is not an option, that will extend your block.
