Hengistmate,

I've removed this discussion, points noted, as I'm more interested (see below discussion) in moving forward than engaging in a pissing match that goes no where.

ahh, I get it now ... you claiming I have a CoI, am "edit warring" and posting "fringe" subjects is just your way of saying you are right without having to defend yourself. Got it! Now quit bothering me. Borealdreams (talk) 03:38, 21 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not attack other editors, as you did at Talk:Lightning rod‎. Comment on content, not on contributors. Personal attacks damage the community and deter users. Please stay cool and keep this in mind while editing. Thank you. --Guy Macon (talk) 07:43, 7 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Is this your example of Neutrality?

[removed condescending comments & allegations of my wrongdoing by Guy Macon] Borealdreams (talk) 03:48, 21 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

No you're absolutely right Guy, I have more interest in being neutral than you do. Instead of battling me on something you have no viable/credible/working knowledge in, why haven't you worked towards making necessary changes I've requested in the area you do have knowledge of... Surge Protection? Loose the condescending tone with me, or go away as I'm tired of your obvious bs. Borealdreams (talk)

Question about your mentioning of a magnetic field increasing point discharge

[edit]

In the Lightning Rod article, you made a change, where you indicate, that the point discharge is stronger, the stronger the magnetic field is. Also on the talk page of the same article you mention this:

"any point in a magnetic field will cause ionization to occur proportional to the strength of the magnetic field"

I would be very grateful to you, if you could explain, why a magnetic field does have such an effect on a point discharge. Up until now, I always thought only the electric field strength is responsible for the strength of the discharge. Or you could indicate some source which describes this effect. Thank you. World-shanti (talk) 18:10, 14 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

You make a valid point. It's probably more semantics than anything else. Whether to use "electric", "electro-magnetic" or "magnetic", they are all referring to the same thing, but probably "electric" is the best to use.
Interesting that of all the changes I made in the LR page, this would be the only comment about any. But, aye, the page has become so convoluted, it barely qualifies as a valid encyclopedic article anymore. It'd be nice if it just vanished into the ether. Lightning rod redirects

[edit]

Hey there. I closed your redirect for discussion section as that is not the proper location. You have an ongoing content issue/dispute, which should be discussed on talkpages and made through consensus, not through edits such as this. ~ Amory (utc) 18:13, 3 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
