Devil May Cry (series)
[edit]Say what do we do with the paragraph listing the allusions to the Divine Comedy? I don't want to take it out but I can't seem to find any reference to it. 凶 16:55, 28 April 2007 (UTC)
Dante
[edit]DMC 3 passed FAC and now Dante is up as a Featured Article Candidate please voice your opinion here. -凶 03:00, 30 April 2007 (UTC)
...
[edit]This is great, Dante's FAC was archived in the middle of work. Clearly the FAC director isn't doing his homework of checking if the items are being worked on before closing FAC. Anyways I need your help ASAP, I completed all of the pathetic complaints and stuff presented, excluding as always the never missing copy edit, when you are available please take a look at it and see if you can find what makes people complain so much about the prose, seriously I have seen FAC pass with worst grammar just because they are about somebody popular or user friendly, clearly there is no efficient standard. -凶 00:37, 7 May 2007 (UTC)
Regarding citing video games as a reference...
[edit]I'm going to be doing that for the Kya: Dark Lineage article rewrite I'm working on, and after scouring WP:CITET the best I came up with was the {{cite video}} tag. Something from Devil May Cry 2 might look like this:
{{cite video | people = Hideaki Itsuno (director) | title = Devil May Cry 2 | medium = video game | publisher = Capcom | date = 2003 }}
It's a little awkward and not quite what might have been intended for the {{cite video}} tag, but it's certainly got the correct fields for everything needed. Cheers, Lankybugger ○ Yell ○ 20:06, 8 May 2007 (UTC)
Re:
[edit]Don't worry, Devil May Cry (series) still hasn't been reviewed and Lanky's page is about to go to GAC but we are doing good, when everything clears up then come back your work will always be appreciated, Peace. -凶 02:47, 22 May 2007 (UTC)
- How are you doing? Lanky seems to be really interested in raising the remaining DMC pages and I will soon be done with the three pages I am improving at the moment, with your contributions we can give them a final push. Good to see you back :) -凶 01:03, 14 June 2007 (UTC)
Prostate page, "alternative therapy"
[edit]Do not remove trigger point therapy from the prostatitis description again. It has journal-published support. ◄██ Unit 5 (Talk) ██► 02:19, 4 July 2007 (UTC)
- I see you have also removed phytotherapy on the basis that it is unscientific. It too has numerous good studies backing it. Why are you editing medical pages if you have no knowledge of the subject matter? ◄██ Unit 5 (Talk) ██► 02:26, 4 July 2007 (UTC)
- You are supposed to answer this question on this page, not my talk page. But since you did post on my talk page, I've answered you there. ◄██ Unit 5 (Talk) ██► 00:51, 8 July 2007 (UTC)
DMC
[edit]I certainly do, however some of them might have gone out of hand, I lost track of them for almost the entire month of June since I was on break back then, the main issue was that the number of active members was down to two during that time with me and Lanky out, for some reason a lot of fanboys have been showing up lately and keeping the pages clean has been a headache, its a good thing to have you back. - Caribbean~H.Q. 03:25, 8 September 2007 (UTC)
- Thanks -- and I'm still unsure of how to handle these talk page exchanges! Anyhow, I figure the fanboys are here because of the anime, and I have to admit it's rekindled my interest as well. That's effective marketing for ya! No idea how long I'll be at this job, but for the time being I'll see how many wiki-demons I can slay. --Boradis 03:32, 8 September 2007 (UTC)
- Yeah they are the worst I have seen so far, when one of them adds a link to a fansite he/she does it to all of the pages, the anime gave them a push but I just hope they cool down when its over. About the admin thing its not a big deal the only reason I'm involved in this is because a good friend of mine felt it was time for nomination and I wouldn't have said no to him, I doubt my persona would change much if the tools are given to me. - Caribbean~H.Q. 03:42, 8 September 2007 (UTC)
- Yeah, that's what Arkham thought when he got Sparda's sword -- then he turned into a giant hemorrhoid in the sphincter of Hell, attended by a legion of whipworms. But I'm sure that won't happen to you. At least not right away. --Boradis 04:05, 8 September 2007 (UTC)

List of Anime secndary characters
[edit]We need a listing of the secondary characters, like Baal, Abigal, the mermaid etc from the anime —Preceding unsigned comment added by 84.18.160.11 (talk) 08:23, 10 September 2007 (UTC)
- No, we don't. The monsters of the week are not secondary characters, they're one-episode threats. Baal and the mermaid were in one episode each, and the actual Abigal was never seen. You give no criteria for why they are notable, so I just assume it's because you think they're cool. Don't get me wrong, they're cool, but that doesn't make them notable. --Boradis 11:08, 10 September 2007 (UTC)
- You may be not aware of this in your zealousness, Boradis, but this particular DMC article lies within the scope of the anime project and its guidelines explicitly state that, quote, "Minor characters may be included here, but article length should be considered", unquote, read: minor anime characters may be included in a list of anime characters. From my anime project experience, I really see no reason not to have a List of characters in Devil May Cry anime article with all main and episodic ones included. --Koveras ☭ 05:57, 11 September 2007 (UTC)
As you've addressed all the points here yourself, I assume your full support is given then? Cheers, Sephiroth BCR (Converse) 18:46, 2 December 2007 (UTC)

- I came back to add that before I added that comma, I had thought that there were too many commas there already as well, but decided that it was needed. Considering that (or even without that), the point is that my edit-summary reply was a little "on edge" and I'm sorry if you felt that I was completely judging or attacking you. Anyway, I'll see you around. Take care. Flyer22 (talk) 06:23, 26 December 2007 (UTC)

Proof or not?
[edit]I'm not the one that keeps adding onto Devil May Cry 4 about the Special Edition, but would Kotaku count as a good source? [edit]I honestly don't know what your problem is with me already...but I suggest you quit undoing my edits in the Devil May Cry 4 page. I have done nothing but provide valid sources and official links, while you keep removing them, claiming it as "vandalism and nonsense." I don't care who you think you are, but I WILL involve administration if you don't stop this. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.188.25.23 (talk) 14:23, 24 January 2008 (UTC)

Welcome back
[edit]I have been monitoring the Featured Articles and kept them fancruft-free, however the character's list has been really hot in the last month, so there is some fancruft that might have survived in the DMC 4 entries, I have also been trying to shape it after some featured character lists, expanding the creation section to make it less Dante-centric and creating a cultural impact section. A few days after you went on break a SPA created a rather fancrufty list wich includes all demons possible, I originally tried to gain a consensus but one of the users supporting to keep it acted somewhat "ownish" and after noting that this is not the first time he had done I decided to play it safe a went ahead and created a AFD page. Right now we should probably focus our edits in taking DMC 4 to GA and FA, if you can clean up the plot's prose I should be able to source the article, after that the next step is probably working the character's list up to Featured List. - Caribbean~H.Q. 19:03, 6 March 2008 (UTC)
Main page appearance
[edit]Hello! This is a note to let the main editors of this article know that it will be appearing as the main page featured article on August 23, 2011. You can view the TFA blurb at Wikipedia:Today's featured article/August 23, 2011. If you think it is necessary to change the main date, you can request it with the featured article directors Raul654 (talk · contribs) or his delegate Dabomb87 (talk · contribs), or at Wikipedia talk:Today's featured article/requests. If the previous blurb needs tweaking, you might change it—following the instructions of the suggested formatting. If this article needs any attention or maintenance, it would be preferable if that could be done before its appearance on the Main Page so Wikipedia doesn't look bad. :D Thanks! Tbhotch.™ Grammatically incorrect? Correct it! See terms and conditions. 04:08, 20 August 2011 (UTC)
Devil May Cry is an action game developed and published by Capcom, released in 2001 for the PlayStation 2. Although it is the first game in the Devil May Cry series, the events in the game are second in the series storyline's chronological order, taking place after Devil May Cry 3: Dante's Awakening and before Devil May Cry 2 and Devil May Cry 4. Set in modern times on the fictional Mallet Island, the story centers on the characters Dante and Trish and their quest to confront the demon lord Mundus. The story is told primarily through a mixture of cutscenes, which use the game's engine and several pre-rendered full motion videos. Devil May Cry received prominent coverage in the video game media, high overall scores from professional reviewers, and has sold more than two million copies. (more...)

[edit]Hello, its good to see you. Unfortunately, I just returned last month, which means that I have no idea what has been happening to these articles for the last years. That said, during my absence, WP:GAPQ pretty much dissected the Featured Topic since they revised the GA standards and there was nobody left to attend these reviews. - Caribbean~H.Q. 23:38, 16 December 2013 (UTC)
