Bassickville Historic District

[edit]

Hi, i noticed your editing in Bassickville Historic District article, which i had edited previously and is on my "watchlist". Offhand, it's great if you add to articles. However, Wikipedia only accepts public domain material and/or other material provided under broad "free licenses", and cannot accept material restricted by copyright. Your contribution to that article indicated that it is either material copyrighted by a "Gombeck group" or something like that, which is copyright restricted. Or perhaps you are from that group and are attempting to provide material, but to reserve some restriction on further use. Can you possibly explain, please? If you are the author of copyrighted material, and/or you own the material and could release it, then there is a process (with acronym OTRS) by which Wikipedia can accept your contribution.

It can be a bit complicated contributing to Wikipedia at first, as there are a lot of policies and rules which no one can know all of, beforehand. I'd be very glad to help you get started. I'll try to watch here for any reply, but if i don't reply here please call my attention by leaving a note at my own Talk page. --doncram 17:18, 27 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
