there is enough citation for article vishal kandukuri. where half of the reference are in telugu language which can be taken as legitimate sources according to Wikipedia rules. more over, most of telugu daily news do not hold online directory's for direct links, but citations are given to the article precisely with specific links and articles photocopys, and the link to the Deccan Chronicle reference is broken - the Wayback Machine seems to have archived the article, but the machine handling that page is currently down. Once it's up again we should add a link to the archived version of that source to the footnote.

I am concerned that the requestor seeks to point out as in a negative note and personal attack on the article. as article has been accepted few months before, article is currently in need of development. peacock tags to the article inappropriate.

reference taken from vishalkandukuri.blogspot.com is just a part of information in the article. a whole bunch of information is also taken from primary sources such as "postnoon news", hydstartups", "epaper-namastetelangana news", "epaper-sakshi.com", "deccanchornicle.com", "hybiztv.com". i request , not to just focus on one or 2 secondary sources, but rather look into whole other primary sources and take other language high-quality sources into consideration is my only concern. thank you very much for your contribution and instant response.Saveeducation (talk) 00:05, 4 January 2013 (UTC)

Sockpuppetry on Vishal Kandukuri

Hello Bonadea! I came around article Vishal Kandukuri during a routine patrol and have been noticing quite a few interesting things, mainly Sockpuppetry, as I saw your note on the article talk page indicating just that. And so I will now have to start an SPI Investigation after gathering all the required information and evidence. It would be really helpful if you could provide me with any other/extra useful evidence or info that you might be knowing as it will help make the case strong. You can provide me with the information either here on your talk page, on my talk page or if you prefer through e-mail (if privacy is needed). Thank you :) ~TheGeneralUser (talk) 03:32, 5 January 2013 (UTC)

Retailopia is a media site for Online Retailers

Hello Bonadea! I saw you deleting my couple of posts on Wikipedia. It is not a spam. It is an online media site for internet retailers. Could you please provide one source where we can get "List of online shopping website in India" that you have deleted. it is all about information and not spamming. Either you create a section where all the online shopping sites in India get listed or make retailopia post up in the section, or create a new post title list of online shopping sites in India on wikipedia. Please don't delete things just like that. (talk)Tituamitgupta (talk) 13:44, 5 January 2013 (UTC)

Thank you for your message. Please have a look at the reliable sources policy and the policy regarding external links to find out more about what is considered spam in Wikipedia, and what can and cannot be used as a reference. retailopia.com is not an appropriate external link or reference in Wikipedia - please do not add it to any other articles. It appears that your main interest in editing Wikipedia lies in adding links to retailopic.com to various articles, and just in case you are in any way involved in that website or have been writing for it, you also need to read the policy regarding editing where there's a conflict of interest. Thank you! --bonadea contributions talk 20:06, 5 January 2013 (UTC)

Mumtaz (actress)

Could you please guide me in rectifying my errors? 210.212.78.161 (talk) 09:17, 14 March 2013 (UTC)

Hi! I had earlier also requested for help in editing the page, especially in the light of the article being marked for grammatical and idiomatic errors. In the absence of any help from you, I attempted the corrections again. Hence, I am surprised for the reversion of such corrections as well.

Regarding the so called 'promotional hype' let me clarify as under

a. Please have a look at the sites http://www.onlinefmradio.in/masala/topactress.php#gsc.tab=0, http://www.mumtaz.in which confirm about her being on top and being remembered as most beautiful.

b. The site http://movies.ndtv.com/bollywood/suraiya-most-enduring-ethnic-beauty-mumtaz-close-behind-334273 terms her the second-most 'enduring ethnic' beauty, and not the 'popular' one.

c. The Filmfare Awards are the oldest and most prominent awards for Hindi Cinema in India. They have been often referred to as the Hindi film industry's equivalent to Oscars. Please have a look at the Wikipedia's page at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Filmfare_Awards. Hence, they are also most coveted. And Mumtaz did win the Best Actress Award in 1970 for Khilona.

d. Mumtaz has been fondly called Mumu since she became famous. A number of published articles and websites would substantiate that. Please have a look at http://www.searchdictionaries.com/?q=mumu, http://www.angelfire.com/celeb/mumtaz/statis.html, http://cine-talkies.com/movies/bollywood-actress/mumtaz/index.php, http://articles.timesofindia.indiatimes.com/2011-10-19/food-reviews/30297320_1_juhu-beach-mumtaz-zayed-khan, http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0612614/, http://www.apunkachoice.com/names/mum/mumtaz/cid_403/biography/, http://www.surfindia.com/celebrities/bollywood/mumtaz.html, http://www.whereincity.com/movies/bollywood/actress/247, http://www.angelfire.com/celeb/mumtaz/mastmumu.htm.

As Mumtaz has not been in the active film career since 1989, I wonder whether such information can really be termed as 'promotional'.

So kindly have a re-look at the statement of accusing me for 'vandalism'. Also please withdraw your warning for blocking me for publishing allegedly 'unsourced' content. 210.212.78.161 (talk) 10:44, 3 April 2013 (UTC)

Thanks a lot indeed for restoring my edits. You are once again requested to please also remove the warnings from my page.

And one more request for correction - The site http://movies.ndtv.com/bollywood/suraiya-most-enduring-ethnic-beauty-mumtaz-close-behind-334273 terms her the second-most 'enduring ethnic' beauty, and not the 'popular' one. Moreover, 'declaring' Mumtaz second-most popular beauty may not be correct today, as the present heroines would get far more votes.

Thanks, once again. 210.212.78.161 (talk) 12:26, 8 April 2013 (UTC)

Article about Helen M. Radics (you nominated it for deletion)

Hello,

I have done some editing to the article which by the way I created 2 years ago. Up until a week ago there were no problems with the article. The only thing I noticed was the notice about the article being an orphan an needing links, which I complied with. However following the requested links, I kept getting more and more notices on the article and finally for some reason you have nominated my article to be deleted. I am very surprised to see this development as I have gone through the verification process two years ago.

Earlier today I have also noticed a blog entry on my unfair competitor's page (see link: http://exposingtrademarkandcopyrightbullies.blogspot.ca/2013/03/wikipedia-trying-to-remove-trademark.html) who is not surprisingly attempting to get more votes to delete my article. I don't believe that Wikipedia should be allowed to become a battleground for such competitor's and I certainly hope that your nomination for deletion of this article was not influenced in any way by this competitor's actions.

I wish to find out from you why you nominated my article for deletion and what I can do to prevent it.

Thank you for your time,

Csidaranoli — Preceding unsigned comment added by Csidaranoli (talkcontribs) 06:04, 24 March 2013 (UTC)

Thank you for your message. It is not correct that there were "no problems with the article" up until recently; there were many problems with it, it's just that the people who had been editing it did not have sufficient experience with editing Wikipedia to spot the issues. There are thousands of such articles, and when somebody with experience notices one of them, the article gets heavily edited, which is what happened with the Helem M Radics article. Most of the issues were possible to fix by editing the article - removing promotional language, removing content that did not belong in Wikipedia, removing inappropriate or dead links, and fixing formatting - but the main issue was, and still is, whether the subject is in fact notable, according to Wikipedia's definition of notability. I have spent quite a bit of time editing and improving the article, and I have also put some effort into trying to find sources to show notability, without much success. I also asked you, more than a week ago, to provide reliable secondary sources - the notability issue has been brought up with you before over the years, but unfortunately it seems you have not taken the time to read the information provided for you on your talk page. In any case, the reasons I eventually nominated the page for deletion (after waiting for some time to see if there were more sources) are described in detail in the deletion discussion which you were asked to participate in - I won't waste your time and my own by repeating the arguments here, since the discussion has to take place on the discussion page and not on a user talk page. A deletion discussion is not a vote so even if there's a blog post asking for "votes" (I haven't followed the link so I don't know what it says) that won't affect the outcome of the discussion. Thanks, --bonadea contributions talk 08:43, 24 March 2013 (UTC)
I just followed the link. Thank you for bringing it to my attention. Whoever wrote that blog post does not know how Wikipedia works - I'll put a note on the deletion discussion to inform people who might come there through the blog (which frankly does not seem to have a lot of readers) that this is not a vote. --08:47, 24 March 2013 (UTC)

Thank you for your work on the article and trying to fix it. I am not very familiar with the process but I will try to do whatever you suggest. As for the discussion I have moved to the page you suggested so please find my reply there. I also wish to thank you for placing the notice about the non-vote part of the discussion process.

Thank you for your time and assistance (Csidaranoli (talk) 00:54, 25 March 2013 (UTC))

Bonadea

Thank you for your email. I didn't think the article explained very well the complexities of pricing a promotional product and how this varies from product to product. This is why there are few fully functional ecommerce sites. I think only 4 in the U.K. The hyper link gave a demonstration of this as it is one of the few fully functional sites. Also the reason there are so many online websites is because suppliers provide these FOC to distributors. However, this has meant the industry has few barriers to entry and always has high competition.

Hello Bonadea,

I recently updated two topics: Pontis and iCLM and you removed my editions. I would like to request that you re-consider according to the following. I am new to wikipedia (as writing) so I just want to ensure that by no means I intend to overrule the policy and use for promotion, but would like your advise regarding what would be the right way to include it.

CLM- Customer Lifecycle Management is a common term that is covered. However the new approach claims that in order to properly manage customer lifecycle one needs to relate to each consumer/ customer seperately. We in Pontis call this approach iCLM where i stands for an individual. I would like to include in the CLM article the fact that there are new innovative approaches of iCLM.

Pontis - the article currently refers to a SW company called Pontis that deals with bridges. However, I also work for a technology company which is called Pontis. Our customer are communication service providers and I find it problematic that when one look at the topic Pontis they get to another company page and there is no mention to ours. We work with major telecom operators as you can see in our website: www.pontis.com

Help and clarification for a beginner

Hi Bonadea,

Thanks for the heads-up on proper use of Wikipedia. As they say on the talk shows, long-time-user, first-time-contributor... or something like that. I have a few point that I would like you to clarify if you could. I read through the links that you indicated regarding proper citation, promotional use, etc (thank you, very informative) but there are still a few things that are fuzzy to me.

1. I am the creator of the content on the official page for QSI. First, does that somehow disqualify me for posting information to Wikipedia? Second, I am plagiarizing myself by copy-and-pasting, which seems kind of oxymoronic, but I can understand where there can be some concern on the part of Wikipedia. Just looking for some clarification there. I didn't feel like rewriting my text over again specifically for Wikipedia, and even if I did, because I wrote it once already I am sure it would come out close enough to the 'other' version as to be considered plagiarism, so, how would I go about writing, for example, a 'different' history section about the QSI organization that will pass muster?

2. Point number one aside, although I am not sure I fully agree with the History section as being promotional (does use of tense make a difference here?) I can see where it may be close to the line. But, the 'list of schools' and the 'associations' with the supporting references seem very appropriate to me. If the issue is the missing pages for many of the schools, that is something I am working on here, but if the issue is otherwise, I am curious to know what it might be. A simple list of the schools that QSI operates seems very appropriate encyclopedic material to me, but again, I am new to this so there may be something I am missing.

3. By reverting ALL of my changes we have now gone back to a page containing false information again. While you did update the country/school count (thank you!), QSI no longer has schools accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools as all accreditation is now done through the Middle states Association of Colleges and Schools Commissions on Elementary and Secondary Schools (MSA CESS), nor is the name of the school in Sarajevo the 'Sarajevo International School', but rather the 'QSI International School of Sarajevo'. Also, in the opening paragraph Africa and the Middle East (or Arabian Peninsula if you prefer) are also neglected as locations in which QSI operates.

I did not want to make the changes myself because, as is obvious, I don't yet know all the rules.

Cheers and thanks for all the help! --Joshua-olson (talk) 13:07, 30 April 2013 (UTC)

Hi, I'm kinda new here and I am trying to go by the rules and everything, so I added some secondary references in the http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Economy_Car_Rentals but I am not sure if they can be accepted as objective and official sources of reference. Please advise if there is a problem and what exactly that is, and if you have any better ideas to propose to fix the problem. Retagging speedy deletion requests

Hi there. Just so you're clear, when someone declines a speedy deletion request, as I did, you should not then retag it. What you should have done in this case was take it back to AfD, not retag it for CSD. As it happened, a different admin, Graeme Bartlett saw the second request and actioned it. This is not how the process is supposed to work. Please don't retag again, unless the tag was removed by the article's creator. If it's been actively declined (usually by an admin), then that's the end of the CSD process. Thanks. GedUK  12:13, 20 May 2013 (UTC)

Hey Ged - point taken, but just for the record, I didn't actually retag the page. The sequence of events was 1) the previously AfD-deleted page was recreated, 2) I tagged it, 3) you removed the tag and 4) Graeme Bartlett deleted it (without me having retagged it - if it was CSD tagged when Graeme deleted, that was done by someone else). Then 5) the page was recreated yet again by the same user, and 6) I tagged that second recreation (and I believe Graeme was the one to delete it again). This may still have been officious of me, and I have now removed the page from my watchlist so as not to get involved with the topic again. When the article was deleted in AfD it had been created by a slightly obnoxious sockpuppet, so I may have overreacted. Cheers, --bonadea contributions talk 11:07, 21 May 2013 (UTC)

Hi Bonadea, I included podcasting on https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Online_advertising#Types_of_Internet_marketing because it's an important type of internet marketing strategy and it was not included on the list. Here's the original message:  Podcasting: This type of digital marketing refers to distributing content via audio and video files. In today's mobile-reliant world, podcasting has become an integral part of content marketing.[13]

The sentence was linked back to a blog post about podcasting. Please let me know why it was removed. Thank you very much!

Hi, I have read the guideline of external link in wikipedia section. I do not think it is a spam link, it provides relevant and useful resources to the reader. Do you think I can add them back? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 60.48.221.214 (talk) 02:03, 23 June 2013 (UTC)

As I said on your talk page, I can't comment on the specific link as I don't know which link you are referring to (you didn't add it using this IP). But I suspect I would not agree with you that it is a useful resource, or I would not have removed it... you can always get second opinions from other editors, of course. --bonadea contributions talk 10:14, 23 June 2013 (UTC)
