Beautifying quotes

[edit]

Hey Bombe, I noticed your curly-quote edit here, which was reverted by another user for not conforming to MOS:QUOTEMARKS. I peeked at your edit history and noticed that you've been making these sorts of good-intentioned changes for a few years and thought I'd drop by to point out the Manual of Style's preference for straight-quotes in case you didn't see the reversion. I was in fact not aware of any recommendations regarding typographic quotes. And due to the fact that I indeed think that they are a lot more legible and simple more beatiful I am quite saddened but will probably refrain from repeating such changes in the future. —☠☢☣[d] 18:49, 14 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
