Hi there, it's very difficult to follow this conversation. Can you please type from top to bottom? Simply add new stuff to the bottom.
Have a look at WP:NAVBOX (guidelines for navboxes). Point 4 clearly states "There should be a Wikipedia article on the subject of the template."
Also, the purpose of a navbox is to link various articles together; in your navbox below, there is only 6 articles (the rest are redlinks). Excessive redlinks should be avoided in navboxes.

Talk: The Mighty Peanut

Hi @Boldgo:, firstly, if you want to send me a message, either put it on my talk page, or else use {{ping|TheMightyPeanut}} to attract my attention. This is your talk page, and I just accidentally saw this message...
Secondly, the problem is that you are working in different languages. There isn't an English page for Rugby San Donà, so it's a red link. When you are on the Italian Rugby San Donà page, there are no Italian pages for Kayle van Zyl and Michael van Vuuren, so they are red links.
You can link to pages in other languages (by putting "language:" in front of the article name, eg. [[en:Kayle van Zyl|Kayle van Zyl]], but why not rather try creating new articles instead, i.e. Italian articles for Kayle van Zyl and Michael van Vuuren, and an English article for Rugby San Donà? Template:2015-16 Zebre Rugby Pro12 squad

[edit]

Hi MightyPeanut

I have created a Navbox, and would appreciate it if you could help me add it to the following wiki page(https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:Rugby_union_squad_navigational_boxes" under the following "https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:Pro14_squad_navigational_boxes" Just under the following heading Template:2015–16 Edinburgh Rugby Pro12 squad" heading.

I do not know how to add the heading on the page"Template:2015–16 Edinburgh Rugby Pro12 squad" heading."

Enclosed is the Navbox

[[Category::Rugby union squad navigational boxes]]

Many thanks Boldgo (talk)BoldgoBoldgo (talk)

Citations

[edit]

Hi there,

Just a quick thing re citations, which you seem to be having problems with.

Try using the following:

<ref>{{cite web | url= | title= | date= | work= | accessdate=}}</ref>

and simply fill in the values for url, title, date, work and accessdate.

There are other options, but those are the basic ones. You can read up more here.

I also use a tool called ProveIt for citations, there are installation instructions here.

Hope that helps.

Thanks,

Category

[edit]

Hi there, why are you adding a category of Category:Rugby union squad navigational boxes to player articles? Player articles are not navigational boxes! TheMightyPeanut (talk) 10:34, 23 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, ok I will leave it out in future. Thanks Boldgo (talk) 06:50, 25 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Received 10211416201548099 Kayle van Zyl Pro12 - Wiki.jpg, which you've attributed to Michela Costa. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.

If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described in section F11 of the criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. — Diannaa 🍁 (talk) 22:34, 20 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]
