Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia. Wikipedia is not a mere directory of links nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include (but are not limited to) links to personal web sites, links to web sites with which you are affiliated, and links that exist to attract visitors to a web site or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam policies for further explanations of links that are considered appropriate. If you feel the link should be added to the article, then please discuss it on the article's talk page rather than re-adding it. See the welcome page to learn more about Wikipedia. Thank you. Please see what Wikipedia is not - it is not a directory listings, nor a link farm to publications or journals (however good they may be). Generally articles should be improved by adding content, wikipedia is not here to direct the reader to read about a topic externally (eg Encyclopaedia Britanica may have a good article, but it is not wikipedia's role to link to it, or to a publication on a particular topic). Likewise the British Medical Journal has had many fine papers on diabetes, but a link to the BMJ itself purely for this reason is not approprioate. See WP:EL, generally external links are to sites that provide more information on a topic than would be appropriate in an encyclopaedia. Links to specialist magazines are rarely appropriate for a topic (link to a specific article perhaps, but not to the overall magazine). Finally repeated linking of a website to multiple pages is likely to be viewed a spamming.
So please have a read of the policies & guidelines linked to above, and I then look forward to a new knowledgable editor helping on diabetes articles. :-) Yours David Ruben Talk 21:35, 8 November 2006 (UTC)
The article Diabetes Health has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
Non-notable magazine. Article has remained unreferenced since its creation over a decade ago.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Hey man im josh (talk) 20:15, 7 December 2022 (UTC)
