Edit to Foxit Reader February 12th
[edit]In your edit you put the comment 'Who the hell writes the date with the day first?'. The answer to that question is virtually everybody outside the world who doesn't live in the USA or Canada! This is a long going problem in Wikipedia, including differences between US English and British English. In general whoever starts an article also effectively defines whether it is written in US or rest-of-world English, and I am not sure which that is for the Foxit article. But your compromise of putting it in words is probably the best compromise. Dsergeant (talk) 06:42, 13 February 2010 (UTC)
Notification: changes to "Mark my edits as minor by default" preference
[edit]Hello there. This is an automated message to tell you about the gradual phasing out of the preference entitled "Mark all edits minor by default", which you currently have (or very recently had) enabled.
On 13 March 2011, this preference was hidden from the user preferences screen as part of efforts to prevent its accidental misuse (consensus discussion). This had the effect of locking users in to their existing preference, which, in your case, was true
. To complete the process, your preference will automatically be changed to false
in the next few days. This does not require any intervention on your part and you will still be able to manually mark your edits as being 'minor'. The only thing that's changed is that you will no longer have them marked as minor by default.
For established users such as yourself there is a workaround available involving custom JavaScript. If you are familiar with the contents of WP:MINOR, and believe that it is still beneficial to the encyclopedia to have all your edits marked as such by default, then this discussion will give you the details you need to continue with this functionality indefinitely. If you have any problems, feel free to drop me a note.
Thank you for your understanding and happy editing :) Editing on behalf of User:Jarry1250, LivingBot (talk) 22:06, 14 March 2011 (UTC)

[edit]Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to vandalize Wikipedia, as you did at Microsoft Lync, you may be blocked from editing. Fleet Command (talk) 18:16, 3 August 2011 (UTC)
- You have accused a group of people (i.e. Microsoft) of being involved in an organized malicious activity without having sufficient valid evidence (actually, without any evidence whatsoever). This against the standing laws, the moral code held by most humans, as well as the Wikipedia policy of neutral point of view, especially in view of the fact that the extensions introduced are also open.
- If you did that in good faith, it is fine for the time being, as long as you promise not to do this again. Next time, when seeing someone extending something, instead of assuming that he is extending it maliciously, assume that he is just extending it. After all, standards must improve; if they are not improved by the original contributors, others will extend them. Fleet Command (talk) 09:18, 4 October 2011 (UTC)
