Your undo of redirect
[edit]Hello @Bobbarkerinla, I noticed that you undid the redirect to Carmel Valley Airfield , however you did not leave an edit summary to explain the reason. I see that you are a newer user, and may have not understood the history of the situation. The article was created by a user who has been indefinitely site blocked from editing WP. Over the years they have created numerous COI articles as well as engaged in undisclosed paid editing and poor sourcing. Here is the most recent report at ANI.Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/IncidentArchive1163#Topic Ban or Site Block, Greghenderson2006 - it's a long term and complicated matter.
I realize that you may not have been aware of this history, and made your edit in good faith. However, given the situation, I'd like to ask if you are willing to revert your own edit. And also please explain why it was performed. Courtesy ping @Left guide. Netherzone (talk) 22:24, 2 September 2024 (UTC)
- Yes, oblivious to COI issues with user Greghenderson2006. Took redirect to be an ill-advised edit -- find article to be noteworthy, especially with recent edits. You have suggested redirecting to Carmel Valley article -- would be fine to me if info was ported over too. Looks like page may be candidate for deletion from your perspective. Thanks for the background on the article and patience with this user! @Left guide Bobbarkerinla (talk) 23:23, 2 September 2024 (UTC)
- Interestingly, in between the time of Netherzone's ping in the first post and Bobbarkerinla's subsequent response, I was thinking that a merge to the Carmel Valley article might be a workable compromise. I'm somewhat surprised there's not yet a transportation section at the Carmel Valley article. Left guide (talk) 23:32, 2 September 2024 (UTC)
- Sounds like a good plan - Bobbarkerinla, since you suggested this, please feel free to merge with Carmel Valley. Netherzone (talk) 23:59, 2 September 2024 (UTC)
- @Netherzone: Merger complete. — see Carmel Valley, California#Transportation. Left guide (talk) 00:12, 4 September 2024 (UTC)
