I assume that you are the anonymous user that left comment on my talk page. You wrote:

Repeatedly removing the same sourced material from articles is a common tactic we get from vandals. The article may be too long, but simply removing content that you find "worthless" is not the way to go about that. Please discuss any measures you would like to take to shorten the article's length on Talk:Rush Limbaugh.

As for Rush's comment on Abu Ghrabib, I can assure it is true. I can't site it. How can I? How can you site a radio show? I do know it happened in the last week of October 05. On a Friday, I think. Is there anyway we could get other Rush listeners to comment on this? I resent that only one listener can comment "I don't recall hearing this on the show" and the comment gets banned.

I assume you are talking about this edit. I didn't remove it because it wasn't sourced, though saying that something aired "in 2003 or 2004" is far too ambiguous. I removed it because you were attempting to reach an original conclusion based on your interpretation of the facts. That's what we call "original research" around here and it is not allowed.

I'm new to Wiki. I am alarmed by your threats to ban me. At least give me a good heads up first before you resort to those tactics. I didnt know that I had to refrain from altering an article simply because one guy hates it. Also, i didnt even know that anyone disagreed with it at first, until much later when I looked into the history file of the Rush entry. My edits where sound and logical. You may not like that I provided citation for the Abu Ghrabib info, but my edits were still fantastic, making a long article more readable.

I made no such threat. I don't have the power to permanently ban you from Wikipedia. However, I am able to block users from editing temporarily if I perceive that they are engaged in vandalism, which is what I thought I saw with your series of edits. Obviously, I was mistaken, but I stand by my reversion; you were deleting sourced, pertinent content from the article without discussion, and adding some other material of dubious quality. android 79 19:55, 12 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I can remove your IP address from this talk page, as I have done above. However, your IP address will be attached to every edit you made as an anonymous user: see here, and will be visible to anyone looking at the history of any page you've edited, like Rush Limbaugh - click here to see the article's history. If you are concerned about that, reply here and I'll point you to a page where you can ask if anything can be done about it -- I don't know offhand. Regarding your questions about your IP: as long as you edit while logged in, your IP will not be visible to any other editors. If you want to remove your IP from previous edits made as an anonymous user, you should ask at Wikipedia:Village pump (technical).
