Martinet Edits

[edit]

I am struggling to understand your edits to Charles Martinet. The statement "Martinet developed their voices that debuted in the mainline 'Super Mario' entries for the first time and portrayed them for three decades" is very strangely worded.

Assuming your intention is to say Martinet was the first actor to portray Mario, that would be heavilly inaccurate. I'll also point out that you really shouldn't be rounding out years for factual articles.

In addition to this you reworded the article to exclude Baby Wario, a real character who Martinet does very much voice. JaneDoe900 (talk) 04:42, 30 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

It's worded that way to specifically address your concern "Martinet was the first actor to portray Mario, that would be heavilly inaccurate" which is why it was worded "Martinet developed their voices that debuted in the mainline 'Super Mario' entries for the first time". Sources in the article state he was the first voice for mainline games specifically. However, I can word it differently to be more clear as requested.
I can also use the dates 1996 to 2022 of mainline games, to be more specific rather than rounding out.
That last sentence in article was poorly worded and implies he voiced Baby Waluigi. Regardless, I'll leave that sentence alone, though it's worth your evaluation as sources do not indicate he voiced Baby Waluigi. It's also worth finding a source for the claim of him voicing Baby Wario to be included in that sentence as well. Blushmallorn (talk) 10:17, 2 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

ArbCom 2024 Elections voter message

[edit]

Hello! Voting in the 2024 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 2 December 2024. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2024 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:43, 19 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
