Thanks Lixxx235 I'll figure out how to improve the wiki article for my organisation w/o conflict of interest and copyright issues. --Bluhdorn (talk) 03:17, 29 May 2014 (UTC)
Socking?
[edit]Hello, Bluhdorn, welcome to Wikipedia and thank you for your contributions. Apologies, regrettably we are guilty of socking. However, I request to not be blocked due to not understanding wikipedia's policies regarding socking and conflict of interest at the time. I was surprised by my organisation's article being recommended for deletion and myself, a colleague, my boss and the work experience student all commented on the deletion talk page. We are all new users and were not aware this is not allowed. Apologies for the mistake.--Bluhdorn (talk) 03:16, 29 May 2014 (UTC)
Conflict of Interest
[edit]If you have not already done so, you may wan to read Wikipedia:Plain and simple conflict of interest guide as well as WP:COI, a guideline on how to properly edit Wikipedia on a subject you are affiliated with.
I've done a bit of editing in the past on the Kokoda Track Wikipedia article, and I'll take a look at the KTF article. Feel free to contact me on my talk page if you have any questions. Mojoworker (talk) 16:18, 31 May 2014 (UTC)
- G'day Mojoworker, thanks for the info! I've read this now. I'm hoping to avoid the whole conflict of interest thing, so I'd appreciate your objective help with the article! Thanks for offering, I'm only new here on wikipedia and the people have turned out very friendly so far. Shall we talk on the article's talk page?--Bluhdorn (talk) 03:11, 2 June 2014 (UTC)
- Sounds good. I did some editing on the article over the weekend and I have the article on my watch list, so I'll look for any comments/questions on the talk page. Mojoworker (talk) 18:07, 2 June 2014 (UTC)
