Welcome!

Hello, BluesRock007, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions.

I noticed that one of the first articles you edited appears to be dealing with a topic with which you may have a conflict of interest. In other words, you may find it difficult to write about that topic in a neutral and objective way, because you are, work for, or represent, the subject of that article. Your recent contributions may have already been undone for this very reason.

To reduce the chances of your contributions being undone, you might like to draft your revised article before submission, and then ask me or another editor to proofread it. See our help page on userspace drafts for more details. If the page you created has already been deleted from Wikipedia, but you want to save the content from it to use for that draft, don't hesitate to ask anyone from this list and they will copy it to your user page.

One rule we do have in connection with conflicts of interest is that accounts used by more than one person will unfortunately be blocked from editing. Wikipedia generally does not allow editors to have usernames which imply that the account belongs to a company or corporation. If you have a username like this, you should request a change of username or create a new account. (A name that identifies the user as an individual within a given organization may be OK.)

In addition, if you receive, or expect to receive, compensation for any contribution you make, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation to comply with our terms of use and our policy on paid editing.

Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your messages on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically insert your username and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question on this page and then place {{Help me}} before the question. Again, welcome! Information icon Hello, BluesRock007. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.

Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. duffbeerforme (talk) 13:54, 7 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I have created an article for the above individual, completely oblivious until the final seconds of posting it to the mainframe, that there was an ongoing draft article for her. My apologises if I have trodden on any toes - purely accidental. Two thoughts - firstly, obviously anyone is welcome to add to the article I have created from information in the draft; secondly, I am slightly puzzled as to why a draft article has remained as such for years, and so many editors have added to it, without it ever 'going live'. Anyhow, we are where we are. - Derek R Bullamore (talk) 11:16, 12 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Being a new editor I attempted however it ended up in the delete pile again. Being a fan here in NY of blues has been tough as touring is non existent. Eliza Neals has been a shining example of what a performer should be after seeing her in BB Kings with Popa Chubby I figured why not have a wiki only to realize she's something else all together. I discovered a draft article similar to you so I just pass on the torch on to you. BluesRock007 (talk) 18:34, 15 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Can I query sections of your most recent edit. Why have you changed her birth name, contrary to the two references cited, without providing any reliable reference to support your alteration? The "'Detroit Black Music Awards'" mentioned are not notable (unless it is a misrepresentation of the Detroit Music Awards, which are). Why is "(180 gram vinyl)" mentioned within the album title, when it is not, or even worthy of mention at all? The whole sentence "In 2021 Eliza Neals re-released Sugar Daddy written by Barrett Strong featuring King Solomon Hicks on guitar to rave reviews and stellar rotation on Sirius XM Bluessville" is incorrectly formatted and contains language contrary to Wikipedia's neutrality policies. In addition, 'Sirius XM Bluesville' is again not notable. Nor is Lance Lopez guesting on Guitar; with a capital letter for some reason. Why? Why have you included an EP is an area which is clearly marked 'Albums' - plus the entry is incorrectly formatted (although that is of minor concern). If I was being unkind, I would suggest that some of these are simply copy and paste jobs from a draft article that did not make it to a full article - you have alluded to this in your comments above. Finally, all of your edits are unsupported by any citations. I do not want to be unkind to a new editor, but seemingly you have been active for almost two years, so are hardly a novice in the ways of Wikipedia. - Derek R Bullamore (talk) 18:59, 15 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
