Mitrastemon

Are you sure about those two species you added? At least according to [1] Mitrastemon kanehirai and Mitrastemon yamamotoi are synonyms. I am no specialist at taxonomy, so I have no idea where to find which are the generally accepted species names, and which are only synonyms. andy (talk) 10:09, 16 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I think you are right. The case made here [2] seem pretty persuasive, although whether there is only one Asian species or a number is not yet determined by DNA analysis. This site also clarifies my confusion about the generic name: is it -stema or -stemon? Likewise, it seems it could yet go either way. Bluemin (talk) 07:05, 18 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
