License tagging for Image:Nab.JPG
Thanks for uploading Image:Nab.JPG. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:
This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 02:09, 20 June 2007 (UTC)
Your RfA
Hi Blueking12, sorry to say this, but your request for adminship has almost no chance of succeeding. As you have only 60 edits there is not enough evidence for us to judge how well you know Wikipedia's policies and whether you have the right temperament to fairly apply them. I suggest you get at least 2500 edits over several months before trying an editor review. This is usually considered the minimum experience required to become an editor. May I suggest you withdraw your RfA for now, since it is likely to get many opposes. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, Gwernol 01:03, 23 May 2008 (UTC)
Your RfA 2
I am sorry, but I have closed your Request for adminship prematurely. Simply put, you have less than 100 edits to the Wikipedia mainspace; while your edit count isn't the only determining factor, and numerous people have their own personal standards by which they judge RfA candidates, this particular RfA was all but assured of not passing.
If you have any other questions about becoming an administrator, please don't hesitate to ask me. Good luck! Enigma message 02:01, 23 May 2008 (UTC)
Adoption?
Hi, I see you are seeking to be "adopted" - if that is the case, then: docboat (talk) 12:35, 23 May 2008 (UTC) {{adoptoffer}}
Let me know if you want to accept the offer. I do not have that much time these days, but I will watch your page and be ready to help. docboat (talk) 00:36, 24 May 2008 (UTC)
Admin coaching request status
You have expressed interest in undergoing the Admin coaching program. However, after reviewing your edit history, I feel you may need more experience editing (i.e., >1,750 edits & 4 months of activity) on Wikipedia before you can know for certain your ready to begin the process of becoming an administrator. Therefore, at this time, your application for Admin Coaching has been declined.}}
My suggestion would be to seek adoption from a more experienced user who can help you experience all of the various components of editing an encyclopedia. If you decide adoption is not for you, there is also the editor review process that may help you find areas to improve upon in our editing. If you would like to talk more about this, please feel free to leave me a note at my talk page. Malinaccier (talk) 23:39, 6 June 2008 (UTC) |
A more personal suggestion would be to get an adopter and work hard to graduate. Happy editing, Malinaccier (talk) 23:39, 6 June 2008 (UTC)
- And in fact I have offered adoption, but since that time he has shown no more interest in editing. The offer stands - leave a message for me on the talk page if you seriously want to develop in Wikipedia. docboat (talk) 12:24, 11 June 2008 (UTC)
- And no further contributions since 24th May 2008. I assume either too busy in real life, or lost interest in the project. If you are serious about adoption and working more on Wikipedia, do let me know. In the meantime I shall "unwatch" your page. Be happy! docboat (talk) 05:15, 24 June 2008 (UTC)
Your Clown Picture
You clown picture, found at: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Al_clown_2006.jpg is admittedly a humourous photo, but it really had no business showing up as a Canadian MP's photo. (See http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Gerry_Ritz&oldid=245446287). This type of behaviour will be looked upon unfavourably if you are seeking adminship. Cheers, Coolth 15 Oct 2008
Again, please do not misuse protection templates. I reverted back the page to restore my comment, and remove the improper template. Placing a protection template on a page does not automatically protect a it, and you should not use the template unless the page is actually protected. If you wish to request page protection, please see WP:RPP — ThreeDee912(talk/contribs) 23:57, 4 November 2008 (UTC)
Your recent edits
Hi there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. If you can't type the tilde character, you should click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you! --SineBot (talk) 18:17, 6 February 2009 (UTC)
- The reason you received the above warning is that your signature does not appear to comply with our signature guidelines. Please correct your signature so that it either includes a link to your userpage, or actually represents your username. Using the signature "all hail the king" without linking to your user/talk page is unnecessarily confusing, and creates additional work for users who may wish to contact you about your edits and comments. Thanks, - auburnpilot talk 18:24, 6 February 2009 (UTC)
- Also, I declined a few of your protection requests. If only one IP editor has vandalized an article, it is better to block the IP than protect the page. Thanks, - auburnpilot talk 18:26, 6 February 2009 (UTC)
your edit to the eXile
Hi, I noticed you just reverted my edit, and apparently censored a name throughout the article. Would you care to explain why on the article talk page? Thanks dsol (talk) 15:18, 11 February 2009 (UTC)
the same edit
Thanks for taking wp:blp seriously. You may have noticed that your edit was simply reverted, as mine have also been, by a "tag team," and despite the BLP exemption to the 3RR rule, I was blocked for 3RR. I'll ask that you take a look at Michael Wines at WP:BLPN, put your 2 cents in, and make any edits to the eXile according to the consensus there. I'd appreciate any help in making wp:blp more effective. Idlewild101 (talk) 12:38, 14 February 2009 (UTC)

Request to participate in University of Washington survey on tool to quickly understand Wikipedians’ reputations
Hello. I'm part of a research group at the University of Washington. In April, we met with some local Wikipedians to learn what they would like to know about other editors’ history and activities (within Wikipedia) when interacting with them on talk pages. The goal of those sessions was to gather feedback to help design an embedded application that could quickly communicate useful information about other Wikipedians. We have now created a few images that we feel represent some of what our participants thought was important. We would appreciate it if you took a few minutes of your time to complete an online survey that investigates whether or not these images would be useful to you. Your quick contribution would be very valuable to our research group and ultimately to Wikipedia. (When finished, the code for this application will be given over to the Wikipedia community to use and/or adjust as they see fit.)
Willing to spend a few minutes taking our survey? Click this link.
Please feel free to share the link with other Wikipedians. The more feedback, the better! The survey is completely anonymous and takes less than 10 minutes to complete. All data is used for university research purposes only.
Thank you for your time! If you have any questions about our research or research group, please visit our user page. Commprac01 (talk) 21:22, 9 June 2009 (UTC)
