Hi, you recently uploaded Image:Venera13Surface.jpg and Image:Venera14Surface.jpg, and added them to the Venus article. I see that you placed a {{PD-Soviet}} tag on both images, which states that they are out of copyright because they were published in the Soviet Union before its 1973 change in copyright law. However both were taken in March 1982, and so are still copyrighted. --BillC 23:03, 20 September 2006 (UTC)

Hello again. Don Mitchell has responded on the pages of both of the two above images. You might want to visit them and see if you want to reply. Please see Don Mitchell's reply on his talk page. He has granted permission for Wikipedia to use the Venera 13/14 images, for non-commercial use only. I have been looking through Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for an appropriate image tag that meets this criterion and have been unable to find anything other than those under Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Non-free Creative Commons licenses. However, tagging an image with one of those non-free use licences adds the images to the list of speedy deletion candidates. Please see if you can find an appropriate licence from that page; if not, then the images will have to be removed. We certainly can't leave the {{PD-Soviet}} tags on them, as this tells anyone reading that page that they are free to upload the pictures and use them for any purpose, including commercial. Maps

Can you please stop changing the maps of every country? Wikipedia has been using the maps for years and we use the same format for every country. Yes, they may be good. They are probably more descriptive than the original one - but we used that for years and for every country in the world. Changing some into a different format is just, well, too hasty. I suggest you to discuss and strive for consensus - which you don't have now. Well, the thing is, we use the same map for every country to make it more convenient for users. Different maps - its like a making a pie with one-half of it sweet and one-half of it salty, even if you feel the sweet side is better. The EU is not that important either, because some countries are in plenty of "groups", like G4, G8 - and we can't give so many maps at the same time. It's better just to use a plain map. Hermannstadt

Hi. The piece of legislation, please. A language used by the town administration in colloquial contexts does not a bilingual town make. What you gave me was your personal guess. Please don't get me wrong: if it were an official language, I would welcome it. I stood among those who supported having variants in other languages for infoboxes of Transylvanian towns. But implying a degree of dissolution on this scale is absurd and, obviously, inaccurate. Not to mention that this form of "x/y" isn't used by wikipedia even in those towns, wherever they may be, that are bilingual. Dahn 19:33, 17 January 2007 (UTC)
