sorry
i realized i have deleted your image of the george bush presidential library. i apologize. the library is a significant building on the university campus.

I would like to see a picture of the Academic Building. A&M is continually criticized for "ugly buildings" and yet, I think the Academic Building is beautiful. Also, A&M has built the Jack K. Williams building on University Dr. Further, because A&M is also criticized for lacking fine arts, photographs that are artistically creative I think, would be better. A&M
Thanks! With this break I've been able to get some work done on the wikipedia articles, but with the semester shortly to begin my time is limited again. My focus is still on traditions and ensuring thier uniformity. Also, I've been working on expanding the Student Life section and attempting to make the main article follow the University Project guidlines with the future goal of making the article a Featured Article. Only the University of Michigan has made it there as far as I know. -- Hut101 01:31, 5 January 2007 (UTC)
karr
"Three boys were born in California, including one named Seven Exodus Karr, according to court records"
hello. Could you please fix that sentence? I dont know what it is talking about, so i dont know how to fix it. dposse 04:32, 23 August 2006 (UTC)
Kyle Field
In response to your statement at User Talk:Longhorn1022's page here, I have made the following reply, with references:
- Actually, that's not true. The capacity of DKR is 85,123.[1] The capacity of Kyle Field is 82,600.[2] The largest crowd to ever watch football in Texas (89,442) was at DKR.[3] Therefore, by either measure (stated capacity or actual attendance figures) Kyle Field is second largest already. We do cover this already at Kyle Field, so including it in the main article on Texas A&M is probably not necessary. Johntex\talk 14:34, 26 October 2006 (UTC)
- Yes, you are right. That sentence was in error and I've corrected it. Thanks! Johntex\talk 18:26, 29 October 2006 (UTC)
Congrats on the win
Congratulations on the win. We'll let you win another one in about seven more years. If we didn't let you win one occassionally, you might refuse to play. Johntex\talk 20:45, 25 November 2006 (UTC)
- Yes, you are definitely right 2:1 would be more realistic. I think you definitely have a good chance for 2 in a row with Kyle Field on your side next year. Good luck in your bowl game. Johntex\talk 05:55, 27 November 2006 (UTC)
Orphaned fair use image (Image:Phs logo.gif)
Thanks for uploading Image:Phs logo.gif. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Hey, I was wondering what Media:DSC03214.JPG is a picture of? Nice photography, by the way. Nemilar 04:09, 5 February 2007 (UTC)
Texas A&M
I'll attempt to find time to help with the football article, though I'm unsure when that would be. Also, have you added your pictures to the Wikicommons A&M section so that they can be used throughout the A&M related articles? -- Hut101 01:50, 13 February 2007 (UTC)
- To use Wikicommons you will need a seperate account for that site. Also, you will have to upload all your images to Wikicommons. When you do, look for a category called something like Texas A&M University, that Johntex created about a month ago. Once you've uploaded your photos to Wikicommons you can use them on any and all Wiki websites, and under any language which is a big advantage since then we can make all A&M language articles identical. As for the Wikiproject, if someone wants to start one, go for it. I'll look into it in about a week for two. -- Hut101 06:56, 13 February 2007 (UTC)
- Is the Research Valley website http://www.rvta.net/ or is it http://www.researchvalley.org/. They both seem to involve a research organization wihtin the BCS area. -- Hut101 23:43, 16 February 2007 (UTC)
- Thanks for the information about Research Valley. I think the additional pictures look great. -- Hut101 14:15, 19 February 2007 (UTC)
- The user box is pretty nice, and I might at it at some point. However, there already is the other userbox which I currently have and I believe there needs to be some sort of uniformity between current and former students of A&M. Also, are you going to place your pictures up on Wikicommons anytime soon or are you going to simply upload them to Wikipedia for now? At some point we should upload as many pictures as possible to Wikicommons and add a See Also link under “Campus shots”. If possible I would like to attempt more editing on A&M articles. I’ve been busy with school and work at AggieSat Labs, which if you’re an engineer you should look into. Is it possible to coordinate our efforts and attempt to reduce the To-do Lists. -- Hut101 07:03, 23 February 2007 (UTC)
- The template you created is perfect! One hell of a job there. -- Hut101 04:29, 26 February 2007 (UTC)
- I have a slight problem with the removal of Notable People from the Galveston and Qatar campus articles. Though they might seem as simply seperate campuses with the same name, both have Vice-Presidents who answer directly to Eddie Davis. The only difference between those campuses and the "Main" campus is distance. Any information that pretains to College Station campus should include and effect A&M Galveston's article. If there is any other clarification needed, please ask. -- Hut101 21:03, 26 February 2007 (UTC)
- Also, thanks for the star. I greatly appreciate it. -- Hut101 21:03, 26 February 2007 (UTC)
- No problem. There is a chance people might look at the Notable People and think that "273,000" students graduated from A&M Galveston. Might need a rewrite. Otherwise, Galveston and Qatar by all practical purposes are part of the main campus. Thats a problem when looking at student enrollment since some number actually include all branch campuses. -- Hut101 16:32, 27 February 2007 (UTC)
Marching Band add on
FABULOUS picture added. Trying not to be too petty, but ya wanna replace the Texas Band photo at the top? kinda kidding, but I'd like to see a simple high school marching band on the site. Thoughts? Hit my talk page. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by BQZip01 (talk • contribs) 05:07, 19 February 2007 (UTC).

Thanks. I miss Texas! -Sucrine ( ><> talk) 15:25, 23 February 2007 (UTC)
- Dont forget to put the pictures you uploaded in the category: Category:Images of Texas A&M. And there is a problem with your signature, at the end you put: {{time}} but it changes each time the page is edited... try "~~~~" instead. -Sucrine ( ><> talk) 15:42, 23 February 2007 (UTC)
Added Corps Rank
Check it out: Texas A&M Corps of Cadets. Did the artwork myself. BQZip01 20:50, 23 February 2007 (UTC)
- Thanks for the star. Always helps to have a cheering section. I have NO idea who that truck belongs to; never seen it. BQZip01 00:27, 24 February 2007 (UTC)

Thanks and Aggie project?
Thanks for the star :) I'm a former student, class of '00. I saw elsewhere on your talk page that you (or someone else) are looking into creating a WikiProject for A&M. I'll gladly sign up and help if you get it set up. Karanacs 14:22, 2 March 2007 (UTC)
- P.S. I also saw that you've done some work on the National Instruments page. It's a small world -- I worked there for 5 1/2 years.
hello
thank you for all the information. How much have you put into the UTEP pages? I'm glad to be here and I will be adding as much information as possible. I am having a problem with people wanting to say that UTEP's alma mater is 'the eyes of texas' which is nowhere to be found on UTEP's website. Besides that, it's the only issue I'm having. Hit me up, see ya around. ElpasoHead 21:47, 5 March 2007 (UTC)
sounds good...
I'm a recent UTEP alum, and I can't wait to make UTEP's pages beter. Actually I have heard before that UTEP came up with 'the eyes of texas' and that utaustin got it from UTEP. I don't know, maybe something will be uncovered now. ElpasoHead 22:18, 5 March 2007 (UTC)
Touché
I removed the opinion/POV words from Texas A&M and didn't even snap to similar ones in the Texas Tech article. Good catch. --Wordbuilder 22:28, 6 March 2007 (UTC)
Colleges?
Hey, you've got a little more weight than me around here... but do you agree with the redirect that was put up by someone for all of the individual colleges(ag, edu, science, etc.)? I think it should have been atleast put up to a vote instead of it just being done, but i'm not sure what to do —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Robhakari (talk • contribs) 05:50, 9 March 2007 (UTC).
Texas A&M
John, a user created a redirect for all of the Texas A&M colleges as well as The Battalion. He actually did it without making any mention of it on the talk pages. I would like your thoughts on this matter. Thanks! Blueag9|Talk| 06:40, 9 March 2007 (UTC)
- Thanks for letting me know. I left a message for the user asking them to discuss on the Talk pages before going on such a unilateral deletion/merging binge. I have attempted to restore all the pages. If I missed any, please either fix them or let me know if you need help. Thanks, Johntex\talk 15:36, 9 March 2007 (UTC)
2006 Texas Longhorn football team
Hi Blueag, I see you have changed one of the headings to "Post season". I originally considered that heading and went with a different one. I have explained my reasoning on the article Talk page.[4] Please stop by and see what you think of my reasoning. I put it there so other people can chime in if they want to. Johntex\talk 08:51, 13 March 2007 (UTC)
Pretty
Hey, that does look pretty nice! Thanks for taking the time to experiment with that. I sometimes give thought to over-hauling my user page, but as you can see, I never quite get around to it. One of the things that has held me back somewhat is I didn't have a good idea how to interspese the landscape-format awards with the portrait-format awards. Your solution bypasses that nicely by just sorting them into two groups. I think I will try it out for a while and see how it feels.
Coincidentally, I have been experimenting in my sandbox with a way to list information about pages I have helped with: User:Johntex/Sandbox2 It is very much a work in progres, but I would welcome feedback from you on how you think it looks and if you think it is valuable. Naturally you can steal the code if you like it.
Thanks again for the idea. Best, Johntex\talk 00:21, 15 March 2007 (UTC)
