Please bear these points in mind while editing Wikipedia:
- Respect copyrights – do not copy and paste text or images directly from other websites.
- Maintain a neutral point of view – this is one of Wikipedia's core policies.
- Take particular care while adding biographical material about a living person to any Wikipedia page and follow Wikipedia's Biography of Living Persons policy. Particularly, controversial and negative statements should be referenced with multiple reliable sources.
- No edit warring or abuse of multiple accounts.
- If you are testing, please use the Sandbox to do so.
- Do not add troublesome content to any article, such as: copyrighted text, libel, advertising or promotional messages, and text that is not related to an article's subject; doing so will result in your account or IP being blocked from editing.
- Do not use talk pages as discussion or forum pages as Wikipedia is not a forum.
The Wikipedia tutorial is a good place to start learning about Wikipedia. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my talk page. By the way, you can sign your name on Talk and discussion pages using four tildes, like this: ~~~~ (the software will replace them with your signature and the date). Again, welcome! [edit]Please do not add or change content, as you did at Montana-class battleship, without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. BilCat (talk) 09:51, 27 April 2018 (UTC)

[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia. We appreciate your contributions, but in one of your recent edits to List of battleships of the United States Navy, it appears that you have added original research, which is against Wikipedia's policies. Original research refers to material—such as facts, allegations, ideas, and personal experiences—for which no reliable, published sources exist; it also encompasses combining published sources in a way to imply something that none of them explicitly say. Please be prepared to cite a reliable source for all of your contributions. Thank you. - theWOLFchild 13:27, 8 June 2018 (UTC)
- Follow up
regarding your post on my talk page, that was not the place for it (surely you read the notice there before posting?). I didn't revert your edit or post this notice because "I need" a source... Wikipedia policy requires it. When you add content that is not supported by a reliable source, it is typically considered original research and removed. If you wish to re-add that content, go ahead, just please add a source with it. If you wish to respond to posts on your talk page, it's best to reply on your talk page, as you will find most users here prefer to keep discussions on the same place. If you wish to post a comment about an article, then it's best to post to the article's talk page. Thank you - theWOLFchild 14:08, 8 June 2018 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification for January 30
[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that you've added some links pointing to disambiguation pages. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)
- T30 Heavy Tank
- added links pointing to Continental, M46, M103, Fort Jackson and Ford
It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, --DPL bot (talk) 05:48, 30 January 2024 (UTC)
