Speedy deletion of Raymond Grissom
[edit]A tag has been placed on Raymond Grissom requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an article with no content whatsoever, or whose contents consist only of external links, "See also" section, book reference, category tag, template tag, interwiki link, rephrasing of the title, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. TallNapoleon (talk) 12:26, 3 November 2008 (UTC)

If you were trying to insert an external link that does comply with our policies and guidelines, then please accept my creator's apologies and feel free to undo the bot's revert. Response from an actual human
[edit]Okay, I've read what you wrote about Mr Grissom, and I've read the external articles you linked to, and... well, I'm sorry. Mr Grissom seems to be an extremely bright young man with a lot of potential, but... there's nothing in particular about him that could be used as the basis of an encyclopedia article (or at least, there's nothing that was mentioned in any of the sources you mentioned).
There are thousands of extremely bright young men and women with a lot of potential. We don't, we can't, have articles on each and every one of them, not until they've actually done something to distinguish themselves from all the others. I wouldn't be surprised if Mr Grissom does something particularly notable in the future, but until that happens... no. No article about him. Sorry. DS (talk) 12:58, 3 November 2008 (UTC)

[edit]Hi there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. If you can't type the tilde character, you should click on the signature button located above the edit window. Raymond Grissom
[edit]I've read what you've written about Raymond Grissom, and its very interesting... but its not suitable for Wikipedia. Right now Grissom is a big ball of potential. He is an inspiring one, which is why there are those news stories about him, but Grissom makes for good journalism, but not for a good encyclopedia article.
If you want to encourage people to learn about Grissom, the best thing you can do is write up our own peice of journalism on him and then submit it to papers, but until Grissom does something that an encyclopedia can write about, Grissom will not be able to have an article about here.--Tznkai (talk) 16:09, 3 November 2008 (UTC)
