2008 TdF
[edit]As I said earlier, this UCI document is a good find, so thank you, and I've invited people on the talk page to consider whether this data from UCI can be considered authoritative given that the Tour is outwith their control, being an ASO event, and the Tour page still includes Kohl as KoM winner and 3rd overall. However, let's wait and see what others have to say about that, and not edit the article until it can be done more decisively and then do it more neatly. Kevin McE (talk) 20:20, 21 October 2009 (UTC)
I have a question for you: how did you get to that page? (this one) If I go to www.uci.infostradasports.com, it seems like I have to log in. I thought that the page of UCI was at www.uci.ch, so what kind of page is this? --EdgeNavidad (talk) 06:46, 22 October 2009 (UTC)
- At www.infostradasports.com, I can see that infostradasports is a company that specializes in sports information. This may make them a reliable source on Tour de France results, but they are not more authorative than ASO, the Tour de France organizers. If the document you found was a mirror of a UCI webpage, it would me more valuable. But I searched on the UCI website, and I can not find any result of the 2008 Tour de France there. Even though the UCI did not govern the Tour de France, they could still have given the results, but at the moment I suspect that they did not do that, and that the page you found is infostradasports' interpretation of the results.--EdgeNavidad (talk) 06:58, 22 October 2009 (UTC)
