Speedy deletion nomination of Bishopswood school

[edit]

Hello Bishopswoodschool,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Bishopswood school for deletion, because it seems to be promotional, rather than an encyclopedia article.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Kges1901 (talk) 15:15, 16 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. I've declined the speedy request above as I don't consider your article to be promotional. I am, however, blocking this account from editing as it appears to represent an organisation. Wikipedia accounts are for individuals only. Please read the template box below. Peridon (talk) 15:57, 16 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Your account has been blocked from editing Wikipedia with this username. This is because your username, Bishopswoodschool, does not meet our username policy.

Your username is the only reason for this block. You are welcome to choose a new username (see below) and continue editing.

A username should not be promotional, related to a "real-world" group or organization, misleading, offensive or disruptive. Also, usernames may not end in the word "bot" unless the account is an approved bot account

You are encouraged to choose a new account name that meets our policy guidelines and create the account yourself. Alternatively, if you have already made edits and you wish to keep your existing contributions under a new name, then you may request a change in username by:

  1. Adding {{unblock-un|your new username here}} on your user talk page. You should be able to do this even though you are blocked, as you can usually still edit your own talk page. If not, you may wish to contact the blocking administrator by clicking on "E-mail this user" on their talk page.
  2. At an administrator's discretion, you may be unblocked for 24 hours to file a request.
  3. Please note that you may only request a name that is not already in use, so please check here for a listing of already taken names. The account is created upon acceptance, thus do not try to create the new account before making the request for a name change. For more information, please see Wikipedia:Changing username.
If you think that you were blocked in error, you may appeal this block by adding below this notice the text {{unblock|Your reason here}}, but you should read our guide to appealing blocks first. Peridon (talk) 15:58, 16 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on your user page, User:Bishopswoodschool, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be blatant advertising which only promotes or publicises a company, product, group or service, and which is a violation of our policies regarding acceptable use of user pages; user pages are intended for active editors of Wikipedia to communicate with one another as part of the process of creating encyclopedic content, and should not be mistaken for free webhosting resources. Please read the guidelines on spam, the guidelines on user pages, and, especially, our FAQ for Organizations.

If you can indicate why the page is not blatant advertising, contest the deletion by clicking on the button that looks like this: Click here to contest this speedy deletion which appears inside of the speedy deletion ({{db-...}}) tag (if no such tag exists, the page is no longer a speedy deletion candidate). Doing so will take you to your user talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also edit this page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would help make it encyclopedic. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Drm310 (talk) 17:12, 16 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hello friend

[edit]

Although you've been blocked and templated to death (apologies for that), please do register a new name that is not the name of a collective entity and continue work on the piece. It seems very likely that the article will not be deleted. Sorry that you've had problems. Carrite (talk) 20:47, 20 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
