Short descriptions
[edit]Please review WP:SD40. Short descriptions should not exceed 40 characters. Thanks! DonIago (talk) 20:53, 6 January 2023 (UTC)
- Please comply with the above message. You're needlessly creating a lot of edits that others have to fix. You shouldn't need to be told this more than once. Sundayclose (talk) 15:35, 31 January 2023 (UTC)
- While I figure your intentions are to be helpful, I really don’t appreciate your “tone” - You don’t need to be so snooty. Birdmonk27 (talk) 08:34, 1 February 2023 (UTC)
- It was not written to be "snooty". It was written to get your attention because apparently the first message didn't get your attention, or you intentionally ignored it, or you didn't understand it. You decide which. If you hadn't made dozens, if not hundreds, of problem edits for short descriptions you never would have heard from me. It may not have been much of an issue for you because you're not the one having to clean up the mess. In any event, now that you've been told twice this issue should be in the past. Thank you. - I have not done “hundreds” of problem edits. I was unaware that was what I was doing. But I’ve definitely got the message. You won’t see any more edits from me in the future. Birdmonk27 (talk) 01:22, 2 February 2023 (UTC)
- My words were "dozens, if not hundreds". Go back and count how many times you have been reverted. And that's just the more recent ones. Yes, you've made dozens if not hundreds of problem edits to short descriptions. You were unaware?? As I said, you either didn't read the first message in this section, you intentionally ignored it, or you couldn't comprehend it. You decide which. Either way, don't do it again. Take the time to actually count the number of characters before changing a short description. Sundayclose (talk) 15:21, 2 February 2023 (UTC)

[edit]Hi Birdmonk27! I noticed that you recently marked an edit as minor at The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo (2011 film) that may not have been. "Minor edit" has a very specific definition on Wikipedia—it refers only to superficial edits that could never be the subject of a dispute, such as typo corrections or reverting obvious vandalism. Any edit that changes the meaning of an article is not a minor edit, even if it only concerns a single word. Please see Help:Minor edit for more information. Thank you. - Sorry - thanks for letting me know 🙏 Birdmonk27 (talk) 04:23, 1 February 2023 (UTC)
