Wiki on Samoan Politician - Misa Telefoni Retzlaff

[edit]

Dear IdiotSavant

Could you tell us who supplied you your current information? We will follow another listed politicians information and can have you refer someone like Lowy Institute in Australia for confirmation - is that ok? For your information we are trying to list accurate and appropriate information. We are not trying to glorify anyone. What we gave you is Misa Telefoni’s listings in the Samoa government website. This information was also used by the Lowy Institute in Australia who have invited him often to speak at conferences. Please refer CEO Micheal Wesley.
Thanks

More details can be found on the official government website www.govt.ws

If you check the article, you'll see that it is referenced. Most details (including d.o.b) are drawn from the The International Who's Who 2004, which you can find on Google Books. Others are drawn from the official government CV you pasted in. The last two paragraphs are a legacy from an older version of the article, and I'm not happy about the sourcing on paragraph 4 (about the origins of his name) - a quick browse of the source does not seem to support it (maybe its in the foornote, which is omitted from Google books?). I've left it there for the moment in the hope that someone will find a better source, but if one can't be found, it should go.
If you think the article is wrong, then please correct it. Just stick with the biography style used and remember to reference publicly available, third-party sources (you'll be able to see how that's done if you edit the article). I'd given it a quick go because it was obviously in need of improvement, but obviously it can be improved and expanded further. --IdiotSavant (talk) 01:37, 23 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
