Content from nycsubway

[edit]

Please refrain from blatantly copying-and-pasting text from nycsubway.org articles into Wikipedia articles about the New York City Subway. It is encouraged that information from that informative site be used, but try to work it into the article rather than just copying it. Thank you. --Larry V (talk | contribs) 19:23, 5 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Expansion of names in Subway Infoboxes

[edit]

Hey there, I noticed you have been expanding the names of the subway stations (e.g. "175th Street" --> "175th Street - George Washington Bridge Bus Terminal"). Thank you very much for your thorough contributions. I'm not so sure that this is the right thing to do, however. I believe the tradition is to keep the names matching those on the MTA's subway map - as the map is the most up-to-date resource (updated more quickly than station signs, etc). There was actually a discussion about a similar issue (Wikipedia_talk:WikiProject_New_York_City_Subway/Archive_2#42nd_Street-Grand_Central_issue), but I'm not so sure that a concensus was reached. It may be a good idea to bring this up in the Wikiproject.

Thanks again for your contributions!

Forest Hills-71st Avenue

[edit]

Please stop reverting the Forest Hills-71st Avenue page. The "71st-Continental Avenue-Forest Hills" should not be included in the navbox. It can be included in the paragraph text, but not in the navbox. Thank you. --Imdanumber1 ( Talk | contribs) 18:41, 21 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

WP:AIV referral

[edit]

I have reffered you to WP:AIV for making disruptive edits. In the future, go to WT:NYCS and explain your opinions there. The participants will evaluate them, and give you the go-ahead. Now I will begin the slow process of reverting your edits made to the subway articles. In the future, evaluate edits supported as a team, not make edits that aren't supported by us. Thank you. --Imdanumber1 ( Talk | contribs) 14:38, 22 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia! We welcome your help to create new content, but your recent additions (such as M,.K.MJ) are considered nonsense. Please refrain from creating nonsense articles. If you want to test things out, edit the sandbox instead. Take a look at the welcome page if you would like to learn more about contributing to our encyclopedia. Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
