John Campbell (Quebec politician)
[edit]There is certainly more than one John Campbell in the world. In fact, numerous have articles on Wikipedia. Perhaps you're looking for one of these? Jauerbackdude?/dude. 19:18, 31 August 2020 (UTC)
- Please stop or you will be blocked. This John Campbell is not an author. Jauerbackdude?/dude. 19:19, 31 August 2020 (UTC)
Hi Jauerback, the John Campbell I have used is the author of the advertised book. He is my father. Bigmanbelfast (talk) 19:21, 31 August 2020 (UTC)
- That's great. Don't change another John Campbell's article to add information about your father. Also, since you have a conflict of interest, you should not be editing any articles about your father, anyway. Jauerbackdude?/dude. 19:25, 31 August 2020 (UTC)
- I think I misunderstood. Are you saying that this John Campbell (Quebec politician) is your father? And, he's also an author? Regardless, please don't edit the article. You can make suggestions at the talk page. Please read WP:COI for more information. Jauerbackdude?/dude. 19:28, 31 August 2020 (UTC)
Hi, no the Quebec politician is not the author of the book, herein lies the problem. Bigmanbelfast (talk) 19:29, 31 August 2020 (UTC)
- It's not a problem. The politician has his own article, so don't hijack it try to turn it into your father's article. If your father is notable enough for inclusion in Wikipedia, someone will create it. There's no rush. In the meantime, there's over six million other articles that you can write about or start a new one... just not about your father. Jauerbackdude?/dude. 19:34, 31 August 2020 (UTC)
