Request reason:
This ban is frankly unfair. To my knowledge, I have only made 2 edits ever. One of which was on a Caltrain station that I frequent almost daily and the other, my own high school! I made these edits only because I know these places personally. I thought that adding detail would improve the page. I do not parade around spreading misinformation or vandalism. I stick to editing topics I am knowledgeable on. I suspect this ban is the result of User "Materialscientist" getting salty that I removed his comment from my talk page. Please, someone, review my ban. I am no vandal! Thank you.

Your username suffices to keep you blocked. --jpgordon𝄢𝄆𝄐𝄇 05:16, 15 December 2021 (UTC)

Please show me the Wikipedia policy that says my name suffices a ban.
Decline reason:
You are blocked, not banned(there is a difference here), but the relevant policy is WP:USERNAME, which states in part "Usernames that are likely to offend other contributors, making harmonious editing difficult or impossible" are not permitted. Your current username clearly falls within that category; please propose a new username more appropriate for a global, public forum. 331dot (talk) 07:51, 15 December 2021 (UTC)

Can someone please rename me to something "appropriate"?
Decline reason:
You need to pick an appropriate username. You also have to address your vandalism. Yamla (talk) 18:09, 15 December 2021 (UTC)

Addressing my Vandalism:

I made these edits only because I know these places personally. If I am unbanned I will I stick to editing topics I am knowledgeable on and I'll look into how to properly source my future edits.
Addressing my Username:
I get that my username is inappropriate. I was not aware of WP:USERNAME when creating my account. Can you please change my username to "BritannicaUser"?
Addressing trying to edit my unban request:
I was not trying to change a unban request. What happened was I was requesting a username change but I had not purposed a change of name so I edited the request to propose the name "BritannicaUser".
Thank You. Big Black Yo Mama Balls (talk) 19:45, 15 December 2021 (UTC)
Decline reason:
When asked about your edit to the Caltrain station, you responded "I agree that this edit is not useful. It is an unpleasant place nonetheless.". Either this is a troll account, or you lack the competence required to edit an online encyclopedia.
I will be disabling your ability to edit this page immediately after this edit. If, in maybe 6-8 months future you'd like to actually explore unblocking this account, the unblock ticket request system would be your way forward. Any admin wishing to restore TPA need not consult me to do so.
I'll keep an eye out for new accounts related to this one. I would recommend finding some other way to get your lulz.
The block on this account is, in my opinion appropriate, and serves to protect the project. I think we've spent enough time trying to help what appears to me to be a troll account doing what troll accounts tend to do. SQLQuery Me! 13:28, 16 December 2021 (UTC)

And do you believe that the edit you made to the Caltrain station improved the encyclopedia? If yes, please explain how. Here's a link to the edit in case you need it.
I've got the same question regarding your edit about your high school: this one.
Additionally, please note that creating additional accounts - such as Greg.Soccer is going to make it an order of magnitude harder to get unblocked. SQLQuery Me! 21:49, 15 December 2021 (UTC)
Addressing my Vandalism:
San Antonio Caltrain Station:
I agree that this edit is not useful. It is an unpleasant place nonetheless. Kehillah:
I understand that I used the campus section wrong. The wording was confusing but the campus is a converted office building. Other than that, I stand by what I said about my school. Most of the school has learning accommodations. There is a whole part of the school dedicated to the "center for learning success" where faculty work with students directly to help them understand their work.
I won't make more accounts. I thought that I could because wp didn't stop me. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Big Black Yo Mama Balls (talk • contribs) 03:28, December 16, 2021 (UTC)
- That does not make it a special education school, which generally refers to the instruction of disabled students. Read the link. As I said on my talk page when you asked about this:
And just to confirm, Kehillah Jewish High School is certainly not a Special education school. If anything, it is a superior school, with 100% college acceptance.
Meters (talk) 03:52, 16 December 2021 (UTC)
I really don't get why you want to fight me on what my school is or isn't. Firstly, the website is inaccurate. The 100% college acceptance statistic is misleading. We actually have a ~98% acceptance rate. This is why I feel that I am more qualified to edit Kehilla's page. Secondly, special-ed students can get into colleges so your claim does not hold. Sure, the school may not match the archetype of a typical special-education school but it certainly is. If you really want to police an article about a school you only know about through the website, let's agree to disagree and call it a school for students with "learning disabilities".
PLEASE! If no one is going to unban me at least change my username, please. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Big Black Yo Mama Balls (talk • contribs) 04:06, December 16, 2021 (UTC)
- I have no interest in fighting you. You created an account with an offensive name and your first edit was completely inappropriate. Your second edit labelled a school as special education with a source that said nothing of the sort. If you want to make that claim then it is up to your to provide a reliable source that actually says that. The page you linked to does not support that claim, and as far as I could see, nothing anywhere on the school's page supported that claim. You lost the benefit of the doubt with your choice of username and your first edit, so I reverted it.
- And I did not say that no special-ed student could get into college. Not many high schools can claim a 100% acceptance rate. That does not sound like a special education school in the normal sense of the word to me, . If you want to add that claim then clarify exactly what you mean and provide reliable sources. Meters (talk) 04:33, 16 December 2021 (UTC)
I linked the most relevant source the school has made publicly available. If I am unbanned I'll request that the school add a page to their website so I can source my claim. I think my username is akin to something a child would say as a joke. It's not meant to be offensive. I am however hearing that you and others find it offensive so I will change it. Can you please help me change it to "BritannicaUser"? Can you please outline the steps I need to take to change my name and get my account back? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Big Black Yo Mama Balls (talk • contribs) 05:16, December 16, 2021 (UTC)
- Would you please sign you talk page posts?"
- Again, the page you cited as a source, https://kehillah.org/about/our-story-commitments/ , does not support your claim that the school is a special education school. It's not pertinent, period.
- I find it hard to believe that you don't see "Big Black Yo Mama Balls" as an offensive username. I've spent enough time on what now feels like trolling. Meters (talk) 06:23, 16 December 2021 (UTC)
The reasoning behind using https://kehillah.org/about/our-story-commitments/ as a source is because the first line on the page goes as follows "Kehillah Jewish High School is distinguished by an exceptional academic program and a supportive environment." The "Supportive environment" references the center for learning success (CLS) that I mentioned earlier. I should have elaborated. I get how you can find my name offensive. I just thought of it as a joke when I made my account. I was not trying to be offensive. Can you please help me change my name? I'm being as genuine as I can be when I say that I'm not trolling and just want my account back. Big Black Yo Mama Balls (talk) 06:47, 16 December 2021 (UTC)

Declined unblock requests
[edit]You are not permitted to modify (or remove) declined unblock requests for your currently active block. You are welcome to make a new request, though. Note that you have not yet addressed your obvious vandalism; your claim "I thought that adding detail would improve the page" indicates you are either trolling or manifestly incompetent. Note that you'll likely only get one more chance to make an unblock request, so make it count. --Yamla (talk) 18:19, 15 December 2021 (UTC)
- I think there was a misunderstanding. I clicked the edit button when the request was still under review and unknowingly published it after the request was denied. I realized that I had asked for a name change but not proposed a new name. Big Black Yo Mama Balls (talk) 04:09, 16 December 2021 (UTC)
- This is simply a lie and convinces me you are trolling. Had this been truthful, your edit would not have included the "decline" part, but it did; see here. I strongly oppose any unblock of this account and suggest the reviewing admin revoke talk page access to prevent any further ability for this user to waste our time. --Yamla (talk) 09:55, 16 December 2021 (UTC)
- @Yamla: You may be right in describing that as a lie, but it isn't absolutely obvious. If the editor loaded the page before the decline, but clicked "Edit" after the decline, they would have been editing the new version, perhaps without realising it. I have at times accidentally edited the wrong version of a page in that way. JBW (talk) 12:22, 16 December 2021 (UTC)
- This is a reasonable counterargument. Thanks for pointing that out, JBW. --Yamla (talk) 12:31, 16 December 2021 (UTC)

- I have renamed the account, as you requested. Unfortunately the unblock request will still have to wait for now, but I hope it will be dealt with soon. JBW (talk) 12:22, 16 December 2021 (UTC)
