Belgian Medal for Services Rendered
[edit]Salut! Or rather Hi! Your first name says Franco, your last name says Flemish... Anyway, I just read your comment about the Medal for Services Rendered. I must admit at being at a bit of a loss myself concerning this one. According to the membership of both OMSA and GMIC, the medal exists, but even these collectors that include serving and veteran members of the Belgian Armed Forces can't find any info besides the establishment decree date, 18 April 1988. Other Belgian sources show it Francs Arquebusiers, Lions and Ribbons, Belgian medal makers sell it Mauquoy, Eekelers, it's mentioned in Belgian forums Hét ABL-History Forum, it's sold on eBay.be and other Belgian dealers 't Amerikaantje.
Do you have access to government archives such as the Moniteur Belge? I can't get in myself for some reason. The "arrêté ministérial" must be in there somewhere... I'd love to read it!! Looking forward to your reply. Cheers! Fdutil (talk) 01:35, 19 September 2012 (UTC)
Unfortunately, royal decrees of 1988 are not available online. I'll contact the staff department responsible for decorations and ask them. Bheuninckx (talk)
Honour Badge of Labour
[edit]Hi again! My apologies, I did confuse the two awards. It is now fixed. The only small amendment is in the title from US English to UK English so it matches all other articles mentioned in the list and chart (template), from "Honor Badge of Labor" to "Honour Badge of Labour". Nice article! Fdutil (talk) 18:38, 22 September 2012 (UTC)
No problem the two are often confused. In the meantime I have reviewed the article text to add quite a number of "u" ! :-) Bheuninckx (talk)
Labour Decoration
[edit]Salut! Nice expansion on the article Labour Decoration, thank you!! It's very nice to have a colleague, I was feeling quite lonely... If you go back to it, you'll notice I took the liberty of improving the English a little, no big deal, just little things. I also reformatted the paragraphs in a more logical order (IMHO). When I contributed on French, Russian and German Wikipedia, I was quite surprised at the differences in what is expected in an article, for example, here in English Wiki, the people from the different WikiProjects, especially the ones who rate these articles, really appreciate "in line citations and/or references", you can check the other articles on Belgiam ODMs I created or expanded, you'll see what I mean. Also, if you happen to have a list of recipients with a referenced source, that would be great! They love those! Keep up the good work! Fdutil (talk) 16:18, 24 September 2012 (UTC)
