Why are my edits vandalism? 95.49.120.214 (talk) 09:36, 22 August 2016 (UTC)

(talk page stalker) If I may answer that, it is not allowed to edit or modify/revert actions by other editors on their own talk pages. Plus, changes to highly visible templates are usually done with discussion. MikeLynch (talk) 09:51, 22 August 2016 (UTC)

War edit by Armenian editors

War edit by Armenian editors

Dear Bentogoa, thank you very much for your message. Recently i made a research on the activity on armenian editors. They have started acting as a part of strategy cleaning up their president's and country related page from negative information and keep adding negative info on az related pages. You may not know but we have active war situation with Armenia and maybe they are doing this intentionally.

If you search you will notice that, user Meowy was bolcked indefinntly for operating several accounts Onlyoneanswer, Tamamtamamtamam, Magotteers, Scribblescribblescribble, Sarmatai, Mov25, Monte Melkonian, Winterbliss, Gorzaim

There were cases with Hetoum I, Gazifikator, Xebulon and others. Users like MosMusy, Taron Sahoryan, Divot, Brandmeister, Yerevantsi, Roses&guns, Tiptoethrutheminefield keep adding negative information on az related pages assumingly as a part of strategy or duty.

I am not advanced user of wikipedia, I need your help, is it ok to do like that or does it violoate any wiki policy? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Iputaspellonyou (talkcontribs) 14:24, 15 August 2017 (UTC)

Guy, I need to Download the wikipedia page with all my edits. then I will change them back. I spent too much time putting those jokes in that otter page.

Just go to the page history and bring up a copy of the page that includes your vandalism. Meters (talk) 05:15, 16 August 2017 (UTC)
In case that wasn't clear, by bring up I mean view, not restore. Meters (talk) 05:18, 16 August 2017 (UTC)

Your revert

As you have reverted my revert here, I have to ask why you did so without giving a specific reason. The included text reads a lot like original research, and especially the details about Bill Clinton are not really fitting in this context. I would be happy if you could give that edit another look. 78.94.53.130 (talk) 14:23, 15 August 2017 (UTC)

Could you please give me an answer? I want to understand why (or if) my edit was wrong. 78.94.53.130 (talk) 07:20, 16 August 2017 (UTC)
I see that you are active, but you still refuse to answer me. Are you purposly ignoring me? 78.94.53.130 (talk) 09:00, 16 August 2017 (UTC)

I've put a rationale for my removal of the discussion on the talk page associated with my IP address. I'm not used to using the wikipedia system, and do not have a username, but in this instance felt that the spurious claims that were raised against the Hunters had no place in a biography. In short, they are doing nothing to tell John Hunter's story. Rather they are giving publicity to a claim that was pure speculation, and based upon a correlation that didn't even stand up. Helen King's critique of the research in the journal Social History of Medicine was devastating, convincing, and demonstrated the problems of bringing a conspiracy theory mentality to historical analysis. As a case study in the boundaries between allowable and non-allowable speculation, it is highly interesting. But as it doesn't add anything to the John Hunter story, since it is deeply speculative, there isn't really a place for it in a wiki biography. If I send my students to this biography, it would be the last thing I would want them to see, because it would detract from the story and undoubtedly draw their attention, where their attention should be elsewhere. It would be the first thing I would want them to criticise. Furthermore, I'm pretty sure that by the time that William was doing his Gravid Uterus work, he'd fallen out with John. But I'd have to double check that -- I'm not completely across that aspect of the Hunter story, because my mind is elsewhere (in 19th century anatomy, where burking really did go on, and may have been far more common than is often assumed - and in this case we do have tangible evidence relating to the Italian Boy case, so well described by Wise in a wonderful, non-academic, history - a good example of how non-academy-based history can be great).

Seriously? The IP has explained themselves on the talkpage, where there is a discussion about the content that Cjhard restored without consensus to do so. Cjhard just arbitrarily decided the content should be included while discussion is still underway, without any respect for WP:BRD or WP:STATUSQUO. --AussieLegend () 08:41, 16 August 2017 (UTC)

I see you left a warning on the IP's talk page. Ironically it suggests the IP use an edit summary, which the IP did, both times, as well as the explanation on the article's talk page. As I said, Cjhard is the problem here, not the IP, who is just doing what Cjhard wanted. Please read the article's edit history. --AussieLegend () 08:47, 16 August 2017 (UTC)

I made a mistake, did not read the full edit summary Bentogoa (talk) 09:06, 16 August 2017 (UTC)

Supporting Indian Wikipedia Program resource distribution

In 2017 - 2018, the Wikimedia Foundation and Google working in close coordination with the Centre for Internet and Society (CIS), Wikimedia India chapter (WMIN) and user groups will pilot a program encouraging Wikipedia communities to create locally relevant and high-quality content in Indian languages. This program (Code name: Project Tiger) will:

(a) Support active and experienced Wikipedia editors through the donation of laptops and stipends for internet access and
(b) Sponsor a language-based contest that aims to address existing Wikipedia content gaps.

The objective of the program is to provide laptops and internet stipends for existing editors who need support to contribute more actively. 50 basic model Acer Chromebooks and Internet stipends for 100 contributors are available for distribution. Provided resources are the sole property of the beneficiaries and should be used for the betterment of the movement.

If you're an active Wikimedian, and interested to receive support from this project, please apply. It will take around 10 minutes of your time, and will ask descriptive questions about your contribution to Indic Wikimedia projects.

Hi, I got this message. https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=User_talk:2.27.21.105&redirect=no

This IP address is shared by several people in this house I'm pretty sure I know who made those absurd changes.

I'd relay the message to him now but he'd most likely be amused and possibly encouraged to do so again. If it happens again then blocking this address from making edits, unless from a logged in user, is probably the right thing to do. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2.27.21.105 (talk) 00:59, 17 March 2018 (UTC)
