Housemate articles
[edit]Hi Benjamix,
Officially, housemates should not have their own articles unless they have done something unique that is not related to Big Brother that people will know them for. Example, Big Brother UK housemate Derek Laud who did extra political activities outside of the house. From WP:BIGBRO:
“ | Housemates should only have their own articles if they are notable for having done something outside the house before or after their stay or involvement in the Big Brother House. They should not have their own article if their notability is directly connected to their stay in the Big Brother House. | ” |
In accordance with the WikiProject, each article about a particular series/season should have sub-articles about each individual housemate. I did this with List of Big Brother houseguests (USA season 7), which was originally in the article, but the main article became too big, so I had to separate it. You can see an example of this at Big Brother (UK series 6). I started to do this on Big Brother (USA season 3), but I stopped for some reason. I hope this helps. Cheers! PS
[edit]WP:CSD#I2 includes empty local pages for images on Commons. The edit you made here is against policy in that regard. Just trying to be helpful. -Nard 04:52, 11 July 2008 (UTC)
Hello! I apologize for my article. It is one of my first, and I wanted to go ahead and get it up so that the links would work. What do you propose that I add to the article? The band made it to the front page of MySpace Music with the amount of plays on this song. It was their first song that gained popularity and got the band noticed! Please reply back! --ARBOCALAVIV (talk) 02:39, 13 July 2008 (UTC)
Hello again! I made a LARGE contribution to my article, and I believe now it addresses the notability of the song. I am now removing the deletion template, and you may re-add it if you deem it necessary! Thanks! ARBOCALAVIV (talk) 04:01, 13 July 2008 (UTC)
Hello again again! =) I decided to redirect "Party Foul (song)" to "Punch Your Lights Out". ARBOCALAVIV (talk) 20:42, 13 July 2008 (UTC)
speedy
[edit]Onl;y those categories of things listed in CSD A7 may be nominated for speedy as non-notable, and that does not include railway stations. In fact, by repeated and consistent decisions at afd, all railway stations are notable. sounds strange, I know, but that actually is the consensus. DGG (talk) 03:12, 15 July 2008 (UTC)
Your recent edits
[edit]Hi there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. If you can't type the tilde character, you should click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
