Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, your addition of one or more external links to the page Jon Stewart has been reverted.
Your edit here was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove links which are discouraged per our external links guideline from Wikipedia. The external link you added or changed is on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia. I removed the following link(s): http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=57079663651.
If you were trying to insert an external link that does comply with our policies and guidelines, then please accept my creator's apologies and feel free to undo the bot's revert. However, if the link does not comply with our policies and guidelines, but your edit included other, constructive, changes to the article, feel free to make those changes again without re-adding the link. Please read Wikipedia's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. Movement to Draft Stewart as a 2012 Presidential Debate Moderator

[edit]

Hey Ben, the problem you're going to run into is that this looks like original research. While it's clear that this Facebook movement is happening, until it gets reported on/written up by some other notable and reliable source there's no objective evidence that this is a notable event. Everything in Wikipedia is supposed to be backed up by a reliable source even stuff that you or I know is true or are certain should be part of an article. In this case if someone like the NY Times did an article about this then that would probably work to establish this as a notable event. Otherwise it's just what you and I think is notable and that's not good enough according to Wikipedia policy. SQGibbon (talk) 04:00, 1 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop. If you continue to add promotional material to Wikipedia, as you did to Jon Stewart, you may be blocked from editing. — HelloAnnyong (say whaaat?!) 04:10, 2 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
