Atomic potato
[edit]While this encyclopedia is free to edit for everyone, you are not free to add (or remove, for that matter) anything you want. We have fairly strict policies and guidelines on what to include and what not. WP:NOTE is our main notability guideline, with WP:MUSIC a more specific one for everything music related. Basically, contrary to what you thought, Wikipedia is not the place for truly obscure bands (or people, companies, ideas, ...), but only for those that have received significant coverage in reliable, independent sources (newspapers, professional magazines, ...: not blogs, fan fora, ...). You can look at WP:CSD to see a number of reasons why pages can be speedy deleted: an article without a band without assertions of importance is one of them. Fram (talk) 09:47, 8 May 2008 (UTC)
